My friends and I ate at the Rose and Crown again and, once more, the food and service were excellent. We all had different starters which were great and then all decided on the haloumi salad, which was delicious (no one had room for dessert but the coffee is always good). We feel it is good value for money and...

We re-visited the Rose and Crown last weekend, staying for two nights. So we had two dinners and one lunch there. Three opportunities to sample Danny's excellent food! All the flavours are superb, presentation is great and, something we had not realised before, it is all done in-house. Even the ice-cream. I defy anybody to find better dining in the...

We only used the restaurant we did not stay at the hotel. Considering the size of our large group the food was excellent quality and all arrived timely manner piping hot. The staff were friendly prompt and efficient. The chef did an excellent job. We will certainly visit this restaurant again to sample other items on the menu.

The Rose and Crown never fails to deliver. Lovely food, relaxed surroundings and stunning local countryside. We visited today as four adults with two children and all of us were spoilt for choice from both the main menu and desserts. All food was piping hot, very well presented and delicious. Don't hesitate to visit.

What a wonderful 3 Night Stay we had here in April 2016. We enjoyed our stay 6 years ago and this time was no exception. Our ensuite room was basic but reasonably priced, clean, with double, bed, hot shower and tv - we have no complaints. Breakfast hearty (full English), a perfect start to our day, walking in the beautiful...

Enjoyed another meal here on 02/04/16. Food was beautifully prepared and presented : a starter of Humus with Pitta bread was delicious followed by a plate of Meat Balls in the most wonderful of rustic sauces accompanied by proper English chips and a side of asparagus with peas and broccoli. Each dish is individually prepared by the Owner/Chef who obviously...

Standard pub grub or at least what we had was. Frozen food I expect but the homemade tarter sauce was a nice touch. Friendly welcome and the place feels like it's going through a change / updating process. There are still plenty of 80's throwbacks and I hope they lose those in time. The no dogs anywhere policy is a...

Dear Stephi1975, Thank you for taking the time to review our restaurant. We are pleased that you received a friendly welcome, and yes, you are right, we are currently updating the building. However, as I'm sure you appreciate, these things take time and as a family business with three boys under 11 we have a lot on our hands! We...
