Detailed Reviews
This is a lovely small resort Hotel just outside the mess that is Ranthambore town. Stayed here as a base for visiting the National Park. The rooms were huge, comfortable and well equipped, despite being off season there were several guests staying and everything was open including the spa and the excellent(and cheap) shop on site. Food and cleanliness were top notch and we even had time for a dip in the pool.

+1
The property is very well maintained. It is conveniently located just 5 mins drive away from the Safari entry gate (for Zones 1-6). The staff is pleasant and efficient. Food (esp. chicken dishes) was excellent. Food is a bit over priced and there might be an issue of not all dishes on the menu being available. Don't expect an awesome Dal Makhni but a Dal Tadka would be very home style and must try.
If you are traveling in group, go for the tent option. These are very well constructed, have AC, a nice sit-out area and attached bathroom (surprisingly big). The tents do not have TV and locker if that is a requirement. If you are a small family traveling, go for the room option for all the facilities along with TV & locker.
They also have a pool (which was closed as per Government COVID restrictions) and some nice garden swings. The bonfire in the evening is chargeable. They also have souvenir shop in the premises. The shop owner is quite friendly and gives some great day trip suggestions. Do enjoy a small chat with him. The property also has their own organic farm behind the tents. The farm keeper/ guard is a friendly person who loves to give a tour of the garden.
Ranthambhore is as such a small and beautiful place. Don't expect much activity there. Just relax and enjoy your stay in nature's lap. Don't forget to try the fresh guavas being sold alongside the road or any other seasonal fruit depending upon the travel dates.

We arrived hot and dusty and this resort felt like heaven. Absolute heaven. The reception was friendly and efficient, the rooms (more like lodges) were simply fantastic. Cool, airy and excellently equipped and immaculate. The food was delicious, the swimming pool a delight to dip into after a long safari. The onsite womens craft shop (Ramesh Handicraft) turned out to be so much more. A lovely young woman explained the philosophy behind it and took much time to demonstrate her stock. The biggest surprise was to be told we could have garments handmade within 4 hours at incredibly reasonable prices. We took advantage of this too many times!! As did many of our group who were impressed with the personl fitting and quality. She and her mother must be visitedWonderful areas to relax outside and the best ambience ever. And we saw tigers twice :)

We stayed at this place as a family with kids and grandparents and had an excellent experience. We stayed in 2 cottage rooms and the rooms were large with lots of space. The gardens are large and well maintained. It has a tranquil ambience and the pool was very clean. The food served everyday was fresh and never repeated for the three nights and the quality was excellent. The staff are extremely attentive and always there to serve your needs. The location is close to the entry for zones 1 to 5 and very convenient for safari pick ups and drop offs. We would happily stay here again. The only suggestion would be to add small changing rooms next to the pool.

We only had two nights here and wish we could have stayed longer.
Lovely hotel with the buildings spread out, in lush green grounds. Spacious, clean rooms and bathrooms and gorgeous, inviting pool area. All staff very friendly.
There was special provision for us going on safari, providing tea/coffee biscuits early in the morning, and serving breakfast until 10:30am so we could eat after the early start. Breakfast spread was decent and plentiful.
We did not have the dinner buffet but just ordered off the menu and food was nice.
There was some noise from the main road but this did not disturb our stay.

Shergarh has a wonderful location and good infrastructure. It is right on the main road.
However the management does not focus on customer service at all and staff did not sound too happy with the management either. This reflects in various things - from service at the restaurant, upkeep of the rooms to charging for every little thing. The restaurant food quality isnt something to write about either. At 1000/person, the buffet was quite expensive for what it served and they would ask you to order from the buffet menu even when you wanted Ala Carte.
Overall, not a pleasant experience

Don't fall into the trap of the pictures of this resort, I visited this resort with a lot of expectations but this was my worst experience ever. They charged 9800 rupees for one night for the room which doesn't cost more than 3500 per night. Reception people are not polite at all. The buffet is very basic. There are no recreational activities like other resorts offering and even for a small bonfire they ask for money. And lastly the resort is located in a secluded location, no market or restaurant nearby. Plenty of good properties charging half of the amount and providing better experience.

Stayed in this resort at the end of Jan 2021.
An absolute value for money resort with intact, well designed and spacious rooms. The garden outside the rooms was an added advantage to sit back, relax and do bonfire.
Accordingly, Safari tours arranged by them were perfect, well-planned and at a very competitive price.
The only down point was the food. Variety and taste could be improved.
Overall, a pleasant experience! Will certainly recommend this resort to those who are planning to visit Ranthambore!

4 of us stayed here while visiting the National park. We opted for the tents ( complete with monkeys around - but not a problem). They had all we needed including extra electric fires and duvets as it was cold at night The food was good - very generous helpings and the staff particularly in the dining room were helpful and friendly. There is a wedding venue fairly close by but the music (as promised) stopped at 10 pm. We weren’t lucky enough to see a tiger but enjoyed the wide variety of wild life and would stay again if we manage to return

Dear Carol , Greetings from The Shergarh! Thank you for your wonderful review! We’re so glad to hear you enjoyed your stay in our tents, and we’re happy that the extra heaters and duvets made your nights more comfortable. It’s great that the monkeys added to the experience without being a problem! We’re thrilled you enjoyed the food and appreciated the generous portions, as well as the friendly service from our dining staff. We also appreciate your understanding about the wedding venue nearby; we always aim to ensure that the noise is kept to a minimum after 10 pm. Although you didn’t spot a tiger, it’s fantastic that you had the chance to see a variety of wildlife, and we would love to welcome you back for another memorable stay whenever you can return! Warm regards, The Shergarh Team

Nice facilities if a little antiquated. The room was a padlock on the door. This added to the charm. There was no safe in the room. Was disappointed that we weren't given a tented room but the room was comfortable and clean. We had to wait for our suit cases but this wasn't the hotels fault as they were coming by road. The on site shop was reasonably priced for the merchandise and the shop keeper was very helpful especially when it came to insect repellent. We bought a few items from there. The food was good and the paratha excellent. There was a bar attached to the restaurant which was good as it was needed after the game drives. I would stay there again.

Neither of us had a problem while we were there in late November. Lovely place! Be sure to explore Ranthambore Fort while you are there…I am considered a mosquito magnet by everyone in my family and am happy to report - one bite while we were there. We did take the precaution of using Malarone while in India. Spent the month of November traveling Rajasthan…beautiful!
