We were 4 adults who stayed in the Family Cabana which gave us 3 bedrooms each with their own bathroom, a kitchenette, and a small seating area with a TV. There is no a/c but that was okay for us as we were there in late January. The paintings on the walls were very nice. Each cabin feels like you are the only ones there and it is very quiet. This property is built on a hillside so plenty of walking up and downhill which meant we got exercise each day:). Close to off site restaurants and a grocery store were we purchased supplies for meals. The beds were comfortable and the water in the showers was warm and plentiful. The hammock on the deck was fun, and there was a grill but we didn't use it. There is a path that goes to the top of the property past the greenhouses where we saw…
This place is amazing! We got a cabin that had everything we needed- coffee maker (and coffee), refrigerator., comfortable bed... we bought fresh fruit in town and ate it on our front porch, surrounded by beautiful plants. We saw lots of animals and birds in the Los Pinos private gardens and trails. The staff was super friendly and helpful. If you walk to the top of their property it is one of the best views in town - perfect place to see the sunset. Highly recommend!
Los Pinos has beautiful and comfortable cabins with all the amenities one would need even some wonderful local coffee. What we didn’t know about Los Pinos was it has its own little nature preserve( 8 acres with trails and lookout)! We saw many birds and animals here including beautiful emerald toucans and Motmot birds. The staff were so friendly, helpful and nature oriented. When we were checking in our receptionist noticed some birds fly into the yard and took us to show us birds that he saw visiting their fruit trees( Toucans). The cabin(superior suite) had an outdoor kitchen and a working fireplace inside. The bed was king size and very comfortable. We loved are stay and will definitely be back
We were here for 6 days and absolutely loved it. There are several cabins onsite of various styles each with its own private area. We were able to sit outside and watch the wildlife from our cabin. The gardens are extensive with a play area for kids as well. Birding is good around the grounds too. There are a couple of nice walking tracks up to a lookout where on a good day you can see across to the Nicoya Peninsula. They also have a large hydroponic section which supplies local businesses with great, fresh herbs and salad items. What is really lovely is it is a family run business and was set up in 87 when the parents decided to change their dairy farm into an eco lodge, and eco friendly they are! Great place with food options close by including a small supermarket!
