I stayed last Thursday in a lovely room with balcony overlooking the Thames, wonderful! The staff are so customer friendly (a special mention to Zoe and Callum behind the bar). The food was good as well! Highly recommended.

Took a ascosiat to lunch at the beautiful old traditional pub,the decor is old world. Seemed like the seventeenth century. A absolute must see or should I say experience. Out side by the side of The River Thames is a large patio with wooden tables, on a nice day this is most enjoyable. The staff are very nice and helpful...

Overall - This is not high-tech, guest pampering hotel, to be started with.. but you will be amazed by how comfortable it is when you start your first night. Here are some factors that I discovered during my past 10 days staying in this lovely small hotel (with a pub on the first floor) [Surrounding] You are forced to relax...

We were on our bikes one very hot sunny Sunday afternoon and thought we'd stop at The Wier in Walton on Thames. I'd said to my wife "I'm just going to get a quick pint"..... 30 minutes later and I had only just got served! We were queuing out the door, the same queue used for food orders! They don't...

Walking the dog by the river. Stopped off at the Weir. I have been here many times over the winter and it's a fine pub with a good selection of beers and good pub food. In the summer however it's a lovely place to sit by the river and have a ploughman's lunch and a pint in the sunshine.

Although this is a lovely pub with... I am sure... A great Sunday roast... You need tea patience to wait to get your order taken. 1 more bar person or just working a bit faster would have convinced me to have another drink. As it is... I am not joining the orderly queue for another 20 mins to get a...

All hotels should have a foolproof and trustworthy booking system. Unfortunately The Weir seems not to have one. Although I booked all 6 rooms in July 2015 for a party of friends walking the Thames Path, we arrived on 26 April 2016 to be told that there were only 3 rooms available! Despite my having email proof of the booking,...

A vey tired and run down pub. Food precooked and NEARLY heated in a microwave!! Hot food on cold plates is a recipe for cold food! Desperately needs some renovation and decoration or a serious 'spring clean'! Would NOT recommend a dining experience.! Will NOT be revisiting any time soon.

Without notice, 26 of us turned up at The Weir for weekday lunch, all ordering and paying individually. The charming and smiley barman assured us it was no problem to accommodate us and so it proved. Excellent food, ranging between baguettes and puddings to full meals were all served quickly and efficiently by the single friendly waitress. The group was...

Visited today with my husband, we both chose a roast dinner, I must say it was extremely tasty and well cooked, washed down with a couple of glasses of red. Service was very friendly, I was impressed, the pub was busy but everything served promptly with a smile
