Very good hospitality, neatness, cleaniness and service. The staff were very good in their service. The restaurant had a wide range in their menu, both Indian and Western, served at neatly managed tables and courteous staff. The rooms were well kept with all basic necessities.

The property is maintained impeccably with comfortable rooms with all modern amenities. Food is top notch and they have a wide variety of cuisines. Customer service from the front office to the housekeeping staff was extremely nice and they make you feel welcomed. A special mention for Mr Rajesh, the General Manager who has done a terrific job with the overall running and upkeep of this wonderful hotel.

It was just a overnight stay business trip in Karur and having looked up on Trip advisor, The Residency Karur seemed to be the only reliable obvious choice.
The Residency is a Chennai based hotel group which has been in operation for decades and has a reputation for delivering standards. Hence I was in a sense of comfort that I would not foresee any quality issues.
My very brief stay was a mixed ball of good and bad.
First the Good must never go acknowledged :
1. Location is awesome. Heart of the town. 2. The hotel has ample parking space. 3. The staff are very courteous and friendly. 4. The internet speed is decent for work. 5. The breakfast was a good spread and enjoyable.
Now the not so great things the hotel must look into :
1. The property needs a overhaul very badly. 2. The shower is horrible. Water hitting everywhere. 3. The bed ( matress ) sinks. It's completely worn out. 4. The pillows are horrible. 5. The toiletries are a sham. 6. The plug points in the room are tough to negotiate. 7. The curtains worn out. 8. The wardrobe has a stench when you open it.
I had booked a club room. The general feeling I got after my stay is that the management needs to really update and upgrade their facilities. The property is dying for a fresh overhaul.
I hope The residency, Karur does what is needed to restore this property to its glory and give its clientele what they deserve.

A nice hotel, but it could use some updates, particularly the windows—poor insulation makes it hard to sleep due to street noise. Cleaning needs more attention to detail; while larger areas are clean, finer details are overlooked. Additionally, the massage experience was disappointing—the therapist applied excessive pressure, leaving marks that lasted for a week.

Very nice hotel, hospitality is really good. Location of the property is excellent. Since I was a solo traveller, the hotel restaurant took care of my food requirements in terms of variety and quantity so that there is no wastage of food and on the other hand I get to eat a decent variety. This is despite the fact that they don't have a combo or Thali in their menu.

The up keep of rooms are not satisfactory , needed to change room/s Noticed hotel is charging extra service charge in room tariff and there is no explanation for this . Business of the hotel should be fair and transparent . It is not fall under fair business practice .

We had a wonderful time at Residency, karur. We were 20 families who checked in for 2 nights stay and all of us are of great appreciation regarding the stay. The food definitely was amazing. At reception Mr. Murty and Ms. Shalini were very cordial and efficient too. The Chef Mr. Khan’s varied dishes were much appreciated by all. Mr.Rajesh , Manager was of great help on providing arrangements for all of us.

December 2023 Mumbai Trivandrum Mumbai – Halt 3 @ Karur
For my last halt before reaching Trivandrum, I was looking for a place further than Salem and found some good options in Karur of which the Residency had good reviews. This too was just 3 mins from the main national highway in a side lane where the main entrance is housed. There is no driveway in front of the lobby entrance – you have to drive another 20 feet further to find the parking on the right which can accommodate about 15 cars.
Checkin was quite cordial and one of the best on my travel so far. They did have a restaurant and bar, but did not have occasion to try it as I ended up being enamoured by the bakery just outside – Flavors which had good food options. If you walk back to the main road, there are more food and shopping options.
The room itself was quite small in comparison to my previous one coming in from Davangere, but it was clean and everything worked which included a well stocked mini bar. Room chosen was the Club room which was one level above the Standard room.
Again checked out at 4am and they opened the parking area for me to collect my car and helped with the luggage. Staff are cordial and sleep was good. Would definitely recommend it for those staying over for a night in Karur or even longer. They did not have a valet and I parked myself.
