We were lucky enough to stay at Fernhill B&B this past weekend and it far exceeded our expectations. First there's the property ... there are four very private acres of sunlit forest and gardens set on a hilltop overlooking meadows and the ocean in the distance. The house and rooms are beautiful, warm, very clean and inviting. You can tell...

My wife and I attended a wedding on Mayne Island at the end of August of one of the children of old family friends. It was a great experience made even better by having the opportunity to stay at the Fernhill Bed and Breakfast. We enjoyed our stay in every way: the site was beautiful, the room (Maidenhair) was extremely...

Our stay at Fernhill was everything that we'd hoped it would be. Our room (we had the one with the hot tub!) was clean and well decorated and provided us with just the right amount of privacy. Richard and Julie were terrific hosts and they have a lovely property with numerous areas to pick and choose where you'd like to...

Fernhill Bed and Breakfast is truly a getaway! Nestled on a hill top on breathtaking Mayne Island, Fernhill is the ultimate retreat for couples, and puppies too! Julie and Richard are amazing individuals who love this beautiful Bed and Breakfast and take time to get to know each guest. My partner and I felt very welcome and our puppy Fletcher...

My husband and I spent a few days at this B&B as part of our honeymoon. The property is gorgeous with spectacular views. Our room was super comfortable and clean and also had a hot tub, which was great! Our hosts Richard and Julie were absolutely lovely! They cooked a lovely, healthy breakfast in the morning and on our last...

Overwhelmed by hospitality - having arrived late on the island, we found that the Resort restaurant was closed. Fortunately, we met Richard at the liquor store, where we went for wine and nuts! He so kindly offered to provide breakfast next morning So we visited Fernhill for breakfast-only - and that was superb! In fact Julie had even cooked gluten...

I was here for 3 nights in September 2012 and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Richard and Julie were great hosts, Julie even picked me up at the ferry and they provided bikes for use (as I didn't come with a car). I had initially booked 2 nights but liked it so much I stayed a third night. Breakfasts were great,...

We enjoyed the most amazing weekend get away at the Fernhill B and B last weekend. After riding our bikes up the lushly forested driveway past grazing dear and the incredible garden, we arrived at Julie's and Richard's home on top of the hill. Overlooking a gorgeous valley and the ocean, we were entralled. Once inside, we were ever more...

Want to leave the busy world for a short getaway but retain comfort...hot tub, comfortable rooms, good food and great hosts visit Fernhill on Mayne Island BC. After an Alaskan Cruise we wanted to enjoy the outdoors without the ship, the tour guides and the crowds. We ended up on Mayne Island at Fernhill B&B. Three days of bliss. Will...

Our hosts, Richard and Julie, gave us a warm welcome to their bed & breakfast nestled in the woods of Mayne Island. They will pick you up at the ferry dock if you arrive by foot. The rambling home had previously been owned by Raffi and had many unique features. Each of the suites were charmingly decorated and each had...

“There is a room with hot tub - I wasn't able to take it as someone had already booked it but it looked quite nice. The room I was in was decorated with dark colours and it was very "lush" feeling, had a great ambiance.”
