We had a short two day stay at Miarestate and really enjoyed being pampered. The hotel is roughly an hour from East London. The last stretch of the journey is on a dirt road. It had been raining heavily for a few days before we arrived and there were two sections of the road which were deep churned up mud...

The dirt road leading to the hotel was bad but that was the only bad thing An Ideal place for a romantic getaway, faultless service and excellent food, a beautiful location where we were able to walk amongst the wild animals and with a pristine beach close by

The food was beautifully presented and tasted absolutely delicious. Personally, the portions were absolutely right for myself and our friends. An enjoyable alternative to a traditional safari with some great walks around the huge estate and to the nearby village of Haga Haga but you need to watch the tides unless you go with Alfred, their guide. The rooms were...

The staff here cannot do enough and the beautiful setting is extraordinary. Situated in a game park (not big 5) where the giraffe and bok roam onto the site and greet you at varying times throughout the day! With beach trips, jeep drives and horse riding there is something for everyone. The suites and food is first rate. Leon and...

This is a lovely hotel with only a few rooms so its never too busy. Watching the animals roam freely was such a treat, the sunsets are stunning and the beach area a short drive or horse ride away is worth a visit. I loved seeing the giraffes. Its a beautiful place and very very comfortable indeed. Only a few...

I enjoyed my stay, my room was quite lovely and relaxing, I personally enjoyed the horse rides, the view of the landscape, watching the animals roam around the property. I love the idea of the picnic set up at a private beach, I will certainly request that the next time I visit.

Although no big five the Big Mamma and her babies more than made up for their absence in a three night stay at Miraestates. We ended our riding holiday with 3 nights in pure luxury.
