A modern hotel in the middle of the center of Tulear. I stayed in Serena for two nights. Everything is within walking distance. Organized tours are also possible by booking at the reception. Breaksfast was not included which I find a little bit annoying. But the rest are great.

We stay one night. I chose room in first flor, and it was perfect. Clean, smart, minibar and AC. Room was smaller but everything was there. The rooms wasn't expentive - it was about 70 000 AR. (without b/fast - it cost from 9 000 to 13 000 AR.) Perfect for travellers who need some place for sleep in Toliara.

I stayed here for over a week while working in the area. The staff are wonderful and helpful and the room (large double) was extremely comfortable. This isn't a resort or part of the Serena chain of hotels so there is no pool, no gym and it is in the middle of town. But if you are looking for a...

This is a great new modern hotel in the middle of Tulear. It is of European standard with quality furnishings and fittings and is kept immaculately clean; you could eat off the floor! The receptionists Landy and Dicrea speak some English and are very helpful. It provides a good night's sleep, with excellent non-foam mattresses, unusual for Madagascar, and it...

This was one of our best hotel experiences during our time in Madagascar (3 months). Serena Hotel is located in the city center with several good restaurants and a supermarkt within (short) walking distance. From the breakfast room you have an nice view of the street market opposite the hotel and the passing traffic. The hotel lobby and most rooms...

Brand new hotel, well done with quality furniture, fixtures, and personnel. The normal sized rooms are only 4 dollars (total price=$28) more than a hotel several stars lower. The only problem is the internet is terrible. You can not use Skype and barely surf the web. Emails eventually go out but don't loose sleep waiting. There is not parking and...

This is a recent, city centre hotel which is close to most of what you'll need in Tulear. Stayed here for two nights and can definitely recommend it. Our room was comfortable, clean and modern with a king-size bed and fast, free WIFI that actually worked in the room. Breakfast was OK, my only complaint is noise - some noise...

Best hotel I've been in couple of weeks in Madagascar. Not a Malagasy hotel - in European standards. Visited it two times, every time for a single night. Rooms at second floor are better - but both has same equipment

One of the best we stayed at over 3 weeks in Madagascar . Clean efficient rooms, great showers, FREE FAST WIFI, good staff, good breakfast. Stay here! No restaurant but local markets all around, great pizza place down the road , and western style food store right there if needed or wanted.
