My husband and I enjoyed our 2-night stay at Cathedral Mountain Lodge. Our cabin was beautifully decorated and comfortable. The cabins are placed quite close to each other but it is a lovely location. We walked down to the river and sat riverside in the chairs there and just enjoyed the relaxing scenery each day for a while. The staff...

Perfect, clean, new, cozy picturesque log cabins. Exactly what you dream a perfect cabin and lodge to be. Staff is extremely helpful. William and other front desk staff are outgoing and constantly ready to help. Oversized bathtub, beautiful cabin bathroom. Yes, we could hear the road and railroad tracks, and the cabins were close together. I was concerned at first,...

These lodges are located in the most wunderful surroundings. You can only enjoy it. Very nice and clean rooms with good bathrooms. The mainhouse (reception/restaurant) is really lovely, perfect located and the view is beautiful. Sweet, smiling staff that makes you feel very welcome. An excellent restaurant for gourmet dinning. Small but good breakfast-buffet. And you MUST try the S'more...

Surely we had too high expectations from the photos and from TA reviews. So we were a bit disappointed to find our cabin next to the parking lot and opposite the kitchen. But the premises are nicely rustic and the surroundings are worth exploring.

Cathedral Mountain Lodge exceeded our expectations. Our cabin was warm and inviting and enjoying a glass of white wine on our deck facing Kicking Horse River upon our arrival was heaven. We stayed 2 nights with our young children (3 1/2 and 6 years of age) and they enjoyed every moment. Highlight for them was making s'mores for dessert in...

My wife, myself and our two adult children vacationed at CML during the first week in July. CML was PERFECT for us. If you want the resplendence of the Rockies, there are plenty of places in Banff, Lake Louise and Jasper if you're willing to put up with throngs of tourists. But, if you want more of a "get away...

My wife and I stayed at Cathedral Mountain Lodge (CML) for eight nights in late June 2013 to celebrate my 60th birthday. The property features includes ~30 log cabins and a main lodge nestled between Yoho Mountain Road and the Kicking Horse River in the Shadow of Cathedral Mountain just downstream of the confluence of the Yoho & Kicking Horse...

Unfortunately we only had one night here but it was great. The Lodges are well kitted out and have everything you need for a short stay holiday. The decor is rustic and cosy and the setting is lovely. I note that previous comments have mentioned the sound of the trains. Distant rumblings could be heard but was totally unobtrusive. We...

We stayed for one night and had a very good experience. We had a 'semi-detached' cabin that looked out directly over the Kicking Horse river and with great views of the mountains. We ate in the restaurant for dinner and it was excellent although it was expensive, but there aren't many alternatives nearby. All the staff were very friendly and...
