Like some other reviewers here I have mixed feelings about this place, hence the "average" rating. I booked a 3 night stay based on their website and online reviews. Unfortunately the place bears little resemblance to the website pictures. Rather than a lodge with a restaurant this place is a "destination bistro" with a few rooms attached. Our second floor...

Truffle Pigs was a nice surprise. The town of Fields, where it is located, is so quaint! The hotel offers a lovely restaurant, and the owners Sean and Jen do a lovely job of offering some delectable dishes. The hotel is about a 20 minute drive from Lake Louise, and it was worth the drive. We stayed 2 nights. The...

The food is incredible. Tastes great and well presented with decent portions. The room is comfortable and cozy. Perfect after a day of hiking. The staff are friendly and the views are awesome. Definitely coming back.

I booked our room, one night only, back in February, 2015. I was very clear that I needed a ground floor room since my husband is disabled. When we arrived, Tanya helped us getting settled in. She was very pleasant and accommodating. There is only one ground floor room and it was wonderful. The décor was beautiful, the bed comfortable,...

Field is a very small town with nothing much there. The pictures on the website make the place look a lot bigger than it is. This place was also very overpriced when you compare this to other places in the Rockies. Agreed it is a great base if you are visiting Glacier National Park or Yoho National Park but if...

Well I have to be honest I was a little disappointed by this stay. Good points - Field is a very small place, you can walk around in 20 mins much preferable to the chaos of traffic we found with a quick visit to Lake Louise, it has a good location by the highway and it is quick to reach...

We loved the lodge. The room was perfect although we didn't spend much time in it. The soaps in the bathroom were great. The staff was wonderful and we found the food delicious. Field is a great little town. We had no idea it was going to be so small but totally enjoyed it. The stroll up to the cemetery...

First, you need to consider that it is in an INCREDIBLY small town in the middle of a National Park. If you are looking for a great place to stay and an even better place to eat in the middle of Yoho it's great. The closest tow, Golden is nothing special and didn't seem to have anything this nice at...

We based ourselves here for 3 nights, in preference to Lake Louise, to explore Yoho, Glacier & some of Banff National Parks. What a great base ! The hotel's position means that getting around is easy, (Lake Louise area gets easily traffic bound). The hotel is quiet, comfortable and incredibly welcoming. The restaurant ( I'll cover separately ) is also...

Didn't spend the night here but stopped for lunch on the way back from a backcountry camping trip. The sandwiches and wraps are amazing. They may seem slightly pricy to some people but they are well worth it and stack up way better against any Subway sandwich of comparable price. The muffuletta in particular was phenomenal. The staff and management...
