We parked in front of the Wellshire, and I thought, "What a nice example of the lovely Lunenburg architecture." When our host Robin opened the door and we stepped in, I believe my first words were, "Oh, wow!" We have experienced a lot of b & b's in North America and Europe. The Wellshire is top of the line in... More

My daughter recommended that we all stay at this B&B because she had such a great experience there before. We took her advice and could not have been happier!!! Robin was an amazing host, the house and garden stunning and breakfast well it ranked a 10 out of 10! This B&B is a true gem and one that anyone travelling... More

It is all the little extras that Robin does or gives that make this place the five star B and B it is. There's the fruit in the room , the bath robes and slippers, the chocolate, the coffee maker in the room, I could go on. The breakfasts too are a sight to behold, they certainly set you up... More

We owned an international consulting firm, and have stayed in at least 2,000 Inns and B&Bs in over 30 counties around the world. We would rank The Wellshire as among the top five. The Wellshire itself demonstrates what can be done with dedication and attention to detail. The structure, formerly known as the Herman House, was built circa 1893 and... More

Perfect room (stayed in 1) and even more so breakfasts (full English is nice to have in Canada; and a big plus for the variety of fresh fruit on offer); the location in a quiet street up the hill with everything in town walkable also to be recommend ed. The fine garden others already have mentioned; all the best to... More

Delightful host, amazing accommodation, and the setting is wonderful. Our room was like a hotel. The breakfast is plentiful and delicious. Would definitely return again. Thanks Robin for a lovely stay.

Thought when I entered this 19th century structure it would be going back in time however walking in the front door I was greeted by the this wonderous contemporary establishment! New and fresh and gorgeous with Robin to greet us and his big delicious dog Benson to lock up after him. We loved it all. A man who's generosity of... More

We had room 1 which was lovely with a European style shower in the ensuite. This B & B is like a 5 star hotel. Robin is delightful and so were the other couple staying when we were. The B & B has 2 rooms. The other room has a private bathroom next door to the room. I wouldn't stay... More

Excellent first impression as Robin enthusiastically greeted us and welcomed us into his beautiful home. It's a modern remake after the original home burned down from a fire 2 years ago. We stayed in the room at the end of the upstairs hall with a separate bathroom. It's not a problem because it's not shared with the other guest as... More

The kindest and most thoughtful (well alright there was one other in Normandy) host I have ever had. The house and garden are stunning. The room large. Tub awesome. Breakfast fantastic. But all of this simply pales when one considers the host: a sweet man who will do anything to make you comfortable in his home. I wore a robe... More
