We arrived on a Sunday afternoon. Lisa, the owner had called earlier and said that we could check ourselves into Room 1. This B&B is a lovely, beautifully restored and maintained, 19th century home in Lunenburg. There is plenty of parking so no worries there.
We were only spending one night so we dropped our bags, freshened up and went off to explore Lunenburg.
There is such a delightful quaintness in this home. Our room had two very comfortable twin beds. The linens were lovely as were the pillows. Nothing is more important to me than beautiful lines and pillows.
It is a sun filled room but “room darkening” shades made for a not too early awakening!
The shower was excellent… good water pressure and temperature… there is a very nice tub with a tile surround. The hand soap used is from a Canadian company called The Bare Home … Bergamot and Lime scent. The shampoo & conditioner were Bath & Body products.
There is a TV with the cable channels that you might need.
We returned later that evening, after Lisa recommended some good places for dinner and watched The Amazing Race Canada.
Our sleep was sound and around 8:30 am we had a delicious breakfast outside on the wraparound porch. Breakfast that day was a choice of an amazing banana bread or a blueberry cornbread muffin. I sampled both. There was bacon and eggs, beans, a slice of zucchini and toast. There was also juice and the one of the best cups of coffee that I can recall having!
Lisa shared the make of the coffee and I was able to find it in Lunenburg and returned to Winnipeg with the coffee beans.
I can’t wait to return to this lovely home. It was my very first B&B experience and I can only say positive things!

We stayed with Donna and Daryl Rideout at the Lunenburg Inn in late September, 2021 and enjoyed the stay very much. The decor of the inn is lovely--antique furniture, lots of space, and two separate sitting rooms for guests, one downstairs and one upstairs overlooking the yard. There is a 3-mile walking path next to the inn and only 2 blocks to the waterfront. Donna made us feel right at home immediately and was a big help suggesting dining and activities for our time in Nova Scotia. Breakfast each morning was a feast. I would definitely recommend the place.
On question of vaccination requirement: we needed a vaccination and negative COVID test to enter Canada, so it wasn't an issue for the inn.

Large, spacious, beautiful, instagrammable rooms. Delicious and generous breakfast portions clearly homemade. Lisa is a gregarious and welcoming innkeeper/chef who is knowledgeable about local services such as restaurants and whale watching and provided helpful advice regarding travel plans. Very good location within walking distance of the main street in the historic downtown area about 0.5 miles from waterfront/boardwalk.

It was a joy to stay at the Lunenburg Inn while visiting this historic seaside community. Our innkeeper was most welcoming, and from the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and right at home. The room we had was very comfortable and sparkling clean. The breakfasts were outstanding, and we welcomed having choices concerning the offerings. I appreciated that our host was also attentive to my need for gluten-free offerings. The inn also offers a late-afternoon Happy Hour on its front porch. My husband still talks about the delicious Margarita that our host prepared for him. We have already missed our time there, and we hope to return when possible!

We were touring Halifax earlier in the day and weren't sure what time we would arrive in Lunenburg, but we made sure to get there within the timeframe that Lisa requested. The inn was very nice and we appreciated Lisa carrying our suitcase up her steep staircase to our room!
It was an easy walk to the scenic harbour front. We returned for tea and cookies that evening after dinner, but the water for tea was cold (someone had turned off the kettle), so that was a little disappointing. I turned it back on for the next person but didn't go back down myself.
Since we had an early boat tour the next morning, we stopped at Tim Horton's on our way out town, but had we been able to stay, breakfast was going to cost an additional $50 even though this was already the most expensive place we stayed during our week in Nova Scotia (and the other inns/B&B's included impressive breakfasts).

We stayed here two nights, delightful. I would definitely recommend this property when in Lunenburg. The owner is actively engaged with daily operations and her staff works hard to ensure that everything is just right. We had a delicious breakfast on the veranda, which is a great way to start the morning. No problem with finding parking, as the inn has its own spaces.

We had a wonderful stay at the Lunenburg Inn. The house is a beautifully restored, Victorian home, very near the harbor and shopping/dining areas of Lunenburg. The owner,
Lisa, was very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. The breakfast was delicious, and the balcony was a super
place to sit and have a drink in the evening. Highly recommended.

The inn is lovely and in a great location, an easy 10 minute walk to downtown but much quieter than if it was located in the middle of the tourist center. The public space is nice, our room was a bit on the small side but adequate for our needs. The breakfasts are wonderful and served on the deck in nice weather. Lisa, the innkeeper, is very friendly and extremely helpful in terms of local sites and restaurants.

We had a marvelous stay at the Lunenburg Inn. The rooms were comfy and the location was perfect - easy walking distance to the restaurants, shops and the waterfront, but far away enough from the crowds. Lisa is a charming hostess and it was fun chatting with all of the other travelers each morning over a delicious breakfast.

Lunenburg has no hotels and staying at an inn isn't something we were used to, but we quite enjoyed it. With breakfast included and having parking for everyone, it made it our clear choice for Lunenburg. Lisa is a great hostess who gave us a lot of recommendations, and her inn was very comfortable and quiet as it's not in the middle of everything, which is something we appreciated. We were still able to walk everywhere easily with plenty of restaurants nearby, including a pub a minute's walk down the road.
