This inn is amazing. We stayed in the "temperence room", which is a massive space and is like stepping into history. Breakfast was good, consisting of waffles, fruit, oatmeal, coffee, and juice. The location is central, and the Lennox Inn is a stop on all the historic walking/carriage tours.

This building is very cool and the restoration was very well done. The location is also excellent. But the owner is not personable at all, very quiet. I kind of felt like I was intruding. He didn't make any recommendations on things to do or see. He gave us keys and that was kind of the end of it. Which... More

While visiting such historic town as Lunenburg, we were looking for a place to stay with history itself. Lennox Inn not only an oldest working Inn in Canada, but it also has been restored to its original 18th century look and feel! Incredible experience stepping into history. Bed was very comfy and we had a good sleep. This place tickling... More

The Lennox Inn made me feel like I should have arrived on a horse and wagon---it felt that authentic. The story of its renovation made it even more interesting. Some of the details really stand out---such as the stenciled wooden floors, fireplaces, plaster walls and four poster beds. Despite the 18th century feel, the availability of wi-fi was from the... We were somewhat apprehensive about the Lennox Inn before arriving, based on some previous reviews (musty smells, etc.). This was a last minute trip along the coast of Nova Scotia, with Lunenburg as our destination. So not much planning went into this one. When we called (several hours previous to arrival), the owner, on trust, said he would hold two... More

We stayed in the Temperance room, at the front of the house. Very large, with two queen beds, fireplace, four windows, and lots of space. It's a privilege to be here. Could also hear the foghorns from the waterfront. Four-poster beds, good reading lamps. This is really special, and the "bountiful country breakfast " was great too!

This was definitely the neatest place we stayed while my husband and I traveled the East Coast. The place is fascinating - it has an authentic doorbell, locks, bar and furniture. Reading about the restoration made me appreciate how much work went into the Inn. The bed was warm and comfy. The water was cold so we didn't shower. The... More

Stayed one night in the Fox Room. My sole purpose was to experience something unique with my 15 year old daughter. Absolutely wonderful. Not posh but one must recognized the true and hidden value Robert has kept alive. Well done sir! Lunenburg must be proud to have a person who values history! PS take a horse drawn ride and see... We stayed at the Lennox Inn on June 9th, 2014. It was wonderful! If you want a Jacuzzi in your room and smelly soaps in the bathroom, stay somewhere else. There are lots of those. If you want to experience an accurately restored house from the late 1700's in Canada (probably only find it in Lunenburg or maybe somewhere in... More
