From our first welcome at Kaulbach House to our final goodbye, our hosts made us welcomed, situated us in charming and comfortable rooms, and expertly served us a full and delicious breakfast. The home is situated in the middle of Lunenburg just a few steps from the wharf, restaurants, and charming shops. The only regret is that we didn't plan...

David and Jenny are excellent hosts. Their attention to detail, the cleanliness of their property, and attention to detail were all important to our feeling completely at home. Breakfasts were outstanding, recommendations for food and activities helpful, and flexibility in handling special requests top tier. These folks know how to run a B&B that feels like home!

What makes the Kaulbach wonderful are the hosts. David is so knowledgeable about the area and Jenny makes delicious breakfasts. Breakfast is served around 8:30 and David makes a point to introduce the guests to each other. During the day, we'd run into other guests and wave and speak and it felt like we were a part of Lunenburg, rather...

We thoroughly enjoyed our night at Kaulbach House. Our room was lovely, the owners were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was delicious. The common rooms and areas were very comfortable to relax in and had a nice selection of reading materials from current newspapers, tourist brochures and books.

David and Jenny are the greatest hosts we encountered on our trip. Luneburg was our favorite Town and the B&B was in the center of everything. David recommended great places to dine and must see attractions in the nearby area. The breakfasts were to die for and Jenny made mine special as I have celiac. Our room were great and...

1880 Kaulbach House is a brilliant place to stay in Lunenburg, very central and an easy walk to all the attractions and places of interest. David and Jenny Hook are great hosts; Jenny’s breakfasts were eagerly awaited and David was a great host and very helpful, especially with local information and suggestions. One of David’s suggestions not to be missed,...

Ideal location to walk about Lunenburg. Lovely home. We stay at B&B's often and David and Jenny are by far the best hosts we have encountered. We were greeted by David and immediately felt at home. He took the time to sit with us and advised us of local attractions and dinning options that truly came through. I have fallen...

Great location, beautiful rooms, full of romance and history. David was a wonderful host, the breakfast was great, and the room (Bluenose suite on the 3rd floor) was gorgeous. The second floor of this beautiful old home has a "Widow's Watch" where the lady of the house could look out to sea to watch for her husband to return. The...

David was a great host in a lovely historic home. He was extremely helpful when we asked about local attractions. His wife cooked a marvelous breakfast. He was very helpful carrying our luggage since my husband and I have physical issues. We booked the reservation when we crossed into NS from PEI and drove right there.

David and Jenny are wonderful innkeepers! The property is beautifully kept. Great location. Just park your car and walk to fun shops and great restaurants on the waterfront. On a personal note, I left behind some important person items and David and Jenny went above and beyond what I think most people would have done to accomodate me. Very special...
