Pleasant hotel, close to everything in Lunenburg. Being an old building, the bedroom was long and narrow which made it feel cramped with oversized pieces of furniture. Fridge was a bit noisy. The hotel had a lift which was a bonus for upper floors. Free Parking across the road from the hotel was helpful.
Century Inn, lovely setting, on one of main streets. Rooms are tired, comfy bed. Room had AC but the bathroom was not great. I cleaned it when I arrived, sink, toilet, tub and smelled as tho it had not been cleaned. Lots of history in the town. Everything is walkable, beware, lots of hills. 5 minute walk to water, beautiful piers, boat watching.
Lovely rooms, the loft room in particular has a jacuzzi and a very European style. Staff are pleasant and helpful. You’re one block away from all of the restaurants and gift shops. The hotel took a big hit during Covid and is demolishing their restaurant, but there are plenty of greats places to eat nearby.
It wasn't so much the Inn itself although it was clean and prime location with parking, it was the staff! We were a big group and they allowed us to go into the closed lounge with our drinks and play music and be together. They were so accommodating and thoughtful. I wish I had a business so I could steal them!! lol. Thank you Gordon and
I have absolutely no idea how they got a 4.5 star Canada Select rating-no idea at all! Although advertised as having guest bathrobes in the room---nope-none Some glaring deficiencies in what I consider room basics: no tissue, no bag for the ice container-YUCK!!, no iron & ironing board (but there was a hook for one), not even a hair dryer (glad I brought my own), only 2 hangars in the closet.....seriously 4.5 stars??? Not in my book. TV was soooo small you couldn't see it from the bed. Our room was long and a bit narrow and the TV was at the other end of the room. Air conditioner was noisy--definitely not 4.5 star worthy at all And we weren't in a basic room either. Bed was comfy tho', and room was quiet and clean, so although expected amenities were sadly lacking we slept well.…
Recommended by a local, we recently had a fine dinner in the modern atmosphere of Rissers Social House - this restaurant's Trip Advisor page is " closed " and it is within this hotel. The service was excellent and the food delicious. Portions were generous and tasty. And a glass of local red wine was delightful.
We visited Rissers soci al house restaurant at the Lunenburg Arms on Saturday 16th November for dinner, the service was prompt and pleasant, We ordered the Braised lamb , it came with Mashed potatoes, Green beans wrapped in Bacon , carrots and zucchini , the food was cooked to perfection, it was followed by a dessert of Creme brulee again perfect, I would recommend Rissers to anyone wanting a special night out,
View of the Harbour and the colourful rooftops were the best part of this spacious room. Antiques, Jacuzzi tub, and comfortable King bed contributed to this being one of the best places we stayed during our trip to Nova Scotia. Nancy and her team provided the best Nova Scotia hospitality!
We stayed here for two nights in October. The room was not quite as large as we expected for a deluxe, but it sufficed. The bathroom had a column sink and very little space to put toiletries. The shower was very nice. The chairs in the bedroom needed to be re-upholstered because the arm rests were darkened with dirt and wear. The bed was OK but the pillows were horrendous. I don’t know why Inn keepers do not update their pillows often enough. It makes or breaks a good night’s sleep. We ate at the hotel restaurant the second evening and it was excellent. The prime rib was melt in your mouth. The prices were wonderful. Our server, Lindsey was super nice and accommodating. Nicely done.
I had called earlier in the day to let them know we would be arriving late and was no not to worry. We were driving a large SUV and there was plenty of parkin across the street. I believe Tammy was the lady at the front desh who was very helpful. She suggested that we go eat before checking in because many of the restraurantsclosed at 9:00 She suggested a restraurant close by and even called to lat they know we were coming. Our room was clean an dthe bed comfortable. Would stay there the next time we are in Lunenburg
