We were fortunate to get into the Alicion with a last minute booking. Great location! Although in new town, this is an easy walk into old town and to the waterfront. There is a park and trail nearby which was great for our young son. Lorne was welcoming and accommodating. They brought a cot into our room for our son...

Hi nbaudais, Thank you for your review and positive comments. We love playing the gramophone, particularly for young people who are surronded by electronics. All the best, Lorne and Janet

My Husband and I stayed here in July for 2 nights. We were welcomed warmly by the owner Lorne and shown around. We stayed in the room on the main floor just off the dining room, I believe it was the Kingfisher room. It was very quiet and private. The room was everything we could have asked for with a...

Hi Tami63, Thanks so much for your lovely review and kind compliments. We are delighted when people appreciate the ammenities and attention to detail that we ourselves appreciate when we travel. The deer are there almost every night, sometimes eating our garden but we celebrate them anyway. We would also be very happy to see you come back. Best Regards,...

We stayed July 25th, 2016 for one night. We unfortunately arrived an hour late which we felt very sorry for but had a mix up with our travelling times - Lorne still however accommodated us to fit our schedule. The bed and breakfast is a wonderful, characteristic home. Very well upkept, yet keeping the original charm of the home. We...

We visited here 3 years ago, and are back again because its is so good. This B&B is clean, comfortable, quiet, well located, reasonably priced, and great breakfast...what more can you ask for. This time we visited with my brother and sister in law from Bermuda, and they agreed this was a highlight of our 2 week east coast trip....

This was the first time we stayed at a bed and breakfast and I wasn’t sure if I would like it. But we can honestly say we would do it again. Lorne was very friendly and the place was just beautiful. We had a large room with a king bed and our own private bathroom. We were in walking distance...

We stayed at the Alicion B&B for three nights in June. It’s a beautiful old home with a wrap-around porch that is wonderful for relaxing in the afternoon. Our room was downstairs near the kitchen so it was a little noisy in the morning, but we were out early to photograph so it didn’t bother us. If you want more...

This was my second time staying at the Alicion. It is a beautiful home, conveniently located within a nice walking distance to downtown. The rooms are beautiful, spotless and large. We stayed in the Periwinkle room, and a few years ago in the Dragonfly room, both are beautiful, with jacuzzi tubs. Janet greeted us when we arrived, and was very...

We'd been told that Lunenburg was the quintessential village along the coast of Nova Scotia. They were right! And we found the perfect place to stay in Lunenburg. The Alicion is a beautiful, historic home with welcoming hosts in Lorne and Janet. We couldn't have been more pleased with our choice to stay here.

Staying at the Alicion B&B was truly fantastic in every respect. I rarely write reviews, but this experience warrants high praise indeed. The house itself is an exceptional property that is immaculately maintained. It is very convenient to the historic center of Lunenburg, yet in a very peaceful and quiet location. The hosts, however, are its true treasures. Julie extends...
