I booked this place for a little get away for my wife’s birthday. Touring some of the wineries in the eastern townships, it wasn’t too far away. Initially I thought it was a little pricey, but after our stay it was worth every penny. We had supper at the Tap Room. On the dessert menu there was no chocolate . Being my wife’s birthday, I asked our server if there was anything chocolate that may be available . She went to the other restaurant and surprised us with a chocolate dessert. Amazing service!! The food was absolutely delicious !! Would definitely recommend this place

Manoir Hovey is a wonderful, lovely Inn with an excellent staff, delicious food, and cozy rooms. It is on Lake Massawippi which provides a beautiful view, and it is so peaceful sitting in the garden just taking in that view. I would love to go back some day. Everything was perfect!

My husband and I and our little dog stayed in the Treetop Chalet suite, which is literally located in the treetops overlooking the hotel and lake, with a lovely 2 level deck with hot tub. The chalet is well appointed 'rustic' with a state of the art bathroom. Dining is exceptional and service excellent. A truly wonderful experience. It isn't our first, and won't be our last staying at this hotel.

The staff handling our reservation was exceptional. It was a last minute addition to our Canadian holiday, and they were unfailingly polite and accommodating despite my spotty cell service, internet access, and confusion over the R&C pricing being given in American $ and them quoting in Canadian $. It required many emails and I was very grateful that they never even came close to sounding annoyed. Even when a long drive and terrible weather delayed our arrival and made us late for our dinner reservation, they never made us feel that they had been inconvenienced. While currently the Spa is receiving a major renovation, the construction, which begins around 8am, was not so intrusive as to disturb our stay,

Hovey manor never fails to delight us. Great food, bucolic setting, and old world charm. You feel like you’ve stepped into an Agatha Christie novel. It’s an annual tradition to spend our wedding anniversary here and we hope to continue this for years to come. A relais et chateau property that features outstanding local cuisine. Service is outstanding. Activities include pool, canoeing, hiking.

As we headed home from the east coast we decided to try the Hovey for one night. The location on the lake was perfect, and the construction had zero impact on our stay. From the valet service, to the kayaking and everything in between our stay was most enjoyable The dinner was first class with perfectly prepared courses for any appetite. Even the bread was first class Outstanding, we look forward to staying longer the next time we head to QC

From the moment you enter the Manoir Hovey property you feel special! This is a spectacular property all seasons of the year. We came early September and we totally enjoyed the sporting activities on the lake. Next time we are coming in October to enjoy the breathtaking scenery of all the fall colours. We booked our next stay as we were checking out! Thank you to Manoir Hovey and staff for a memorable holiday.

An older small resort, not a lot to do and in need of some work. Could use paint, grass mowing, weeding, dusting, etc. It would be ok, at 1/3 this price. Certainly not one of the nicest hotels in canada, not sure where that come from. Way over priced for what you get.

Good morning, We wholeheartedly disagree with your assessment. Customer satisfaction is always our priority, and we are sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your stay with us. You draw reference to the place being dated and we confirm that Manoir Hovey was built in 1900 which is part of the charm and cachet of our luxury hotel. We also confirm that all rooms are frequently updated and have been renovated in the past five years. As a five-star historic luxury estate, we are an integral member of the prestigious hotel association Relais & Châteaux, an exclusive collection of more than 580 of the finest hotels setting the world standard for excellence in hospitality since 1954. We cut not corners when it comes to cleanliness around the estate and caring for our gardens and grounds. Recently voted #1 Best Resort Hotel in Canada by Travel+Leisure, we have been family-operated for the past 45 years, creatively combining authentic architecture, contemporary luxury, and unparalleled service. The vast majority of the comments we receive are positive, you may rest assured that in the rare event that we receive a negative comment, such as it is the case with you, we take the matter seriously. Feel free to reach out to a member of our team (marketing@manoirhovey.com - (800) 661-2421) if you wish to discuss your experience in greater depth. The dining experience both for diner and brunch is excellent and memorable. We have been discovering outstanding local cheeses from this table for decades. The rooms are country classic and always well appointed and comfortable. The Oriole Suite is the best experience, contemporary, intimate, and private location. Looking forward to seeing the renovations completed in 2023. Looking very impressive.

My wife and I spent 2 wonderful days at the Manoir Hovey. From the moment we arrived, the service was superb. Marc showed us around the hotel, the facilities etc before settling us down on the lawn for a cup of tea overlooking the beautiful lake. Our room was a luxury room which was beautifully decorated with great facilities and a small patio overlooking the lake. We had 2 great meals The main restaurant is fine dining at its best with a great wine selection. Dinner at the tap bar is less formal but still great food. Breakfast was served in the main dining room and was again superb. Without exception, all the staff were extremely friendly, helpful and efficient. The facilities are also great with canoes etc on the lake and a small pool. We had an extremely enjoyable and relaxing stay. We can’t wait to return when the new spa and pool has been completed. Thanks again to everyone.
