We planned a family vacation in Grandby, we had stayed at the St Christophe in 2018 and had the best time. We decided to go again as we had the best experience previously. Big mistake, never again will I go there and will tell my friends and family to stay away from this place. Everything is in need of repairs, shower handle fell while trying to take a shower, pavers are falling around the hot tub, wood deck is rotten, sauna and gas fire pit don't work. Do not go for breakfast, there is very little offered. A few croissant, scrambled eggs, sausages (if you are lucky), a toaster that does not work, etc, you get the idea. We were under the impression that breakfast was included, especially for the price we paid and considering that there was not enough to go around for all their guests. Nope, at check out they charged us $130 for our "breakfast". I finally ask to speak to the manager, after a conversation with her, she finally agreed to credit the $130. I then ask who can I contact regarding my stay, I was given a business card with the GM email, I emailed him the very next day and receive and email back from Gina the administrator, explaining that the GM was too busy to respond to my email. She proceeded with "we are so sorry, you did not enjoy your stay with us, we would like if you could give us a second chance in the future', I paid over $1600 for 2 rooms for 2 nights. No attempts on their part to offer some type of credit or refund. This hotel is family owned, it is falling apart. Someone will get hurt, especially around their outdoor pool, hot top or on the wood deck.…
Booked via Choice for 93$ AAA rate for a night Arrived around 5PM. Check in was courteous and friendly. The receptionist was very attentive, explaining the various services offered at the spa. The room was big, clean. However, I noted the carpet was in bad shape in certain areas of the room. Also, as a CPAP used, there was no outlets close to the bed...i did find one within reach of the cord. The Queen bed was comfortable, but the leather sofa next to it had seen better days, and really sank when i sat on it. The LCD TV , a cheaper brand, was located in an old school cabinet meant for an old CRT TV...I did manage to plug my Roku in it and enjoy Netflix. There is also a fridge. Bathroom was clean. I did not use the restaurant on premise which was a bit pricy. Opted to go out for some roasted chicken at Duhamel across the street (delicious). Next morning, after a long bike ride, opted to use the spa for 15$....the inside pool (which is accesible to any guests) was decent but in need of some reno...the spa area consists of multiple jacuzzis outside, heated , but found them a bit grimy; the sauna was somewhat run down....not sure if it was worth the 15$. The hotel is located on the bike path which connects to La Granbyenne and L'estriade, which was the saving grace for this hotel. They offer bike storage close to the spa area, so you dont need to bring the bike to the room. Overall, pleased.…
Nice hotel with a European feel to it. Rooms were large and clean. My room had a nice little balcony with a view of the lake. The hotel itself was clean and well maintained. It is a short drive to downtown Granby. There is an onsite restaurant and bar. We did not eat dinner there but stoped in for a drink and both bartenders were very friendly. My only complaint was breakfast. It always seemed that the buffet was almost empty and I was always getting the last sausage or the last remnants of eggs. Coffee was empty both mornings we ate there. The quality of the food that was available was sub par as well. I believe there is a breakfast place directly accross the street from the hotel. My suggestion would to give that a try.
Stay away! Enjoy the nice B&Bs around the area instead. Leftover hairs from previous visitors in the bathtub; cracked faux-leather loveseat flaking everywhere; bleached-smell sheets; squeaky and cracking bed; over-cooked food or drowned in sauce; badly soundproofed; staff walking around without masks; and, above all, non-empathetic customer service, especially a certain "Patrick" who was room service and front desk. He was condescending. The best part about the massage is while you are in the waiting area filling out your info, you are right next to the backdoor where people come in from the parking. It's dirty! This place thinks of itself as high-end but it's not. Trust the pictures from other visitors and not the staged photos by the establishment. We really wanted to love this place. There was no table (or coffee table) to eat properly in our room, and room service doesn't even leave you some trays. Keep in mind, if you wish to have your room service at a certain hour, let's say 7pm. Even if you request hours prior, their policy is they will start cooking and prepping your order at the hour and not plan it for you to have at the set hour. That's what they explained to us because we received ours at 7:55. If would have been good to know in advance because we planned our evening around this. If Patrick didn't have the attitude, we would have left some tip. Back in my days in tourisme & hotellerie, I would have fired this type of person from my staff. We decided to leave at 2 am in the morning because we couldn't stand the banging of the doors from another floor between Midnight to 1:20 am. They had no consideration for our concerns. They didn't even asked why. I'm not surprised that this place doesn't follow-up on bad reviews.…
Loved our stay at St. Christophe. Good price for stay Very friendly staff, clean, spacious rooms and common areas. Nice pool area with water the perfect temperature. Our full body massages were amazing. We are at the hotel restaurant. Meal was sumptuous. The chef outdid himself. Our waitress was very friendly. Breakfast was nothing spectacular but we enjoyed our bacon, eggs, sausages and French toast. Waitress to was very nice and chatty. Would go again and would definitely recommend.
We enjoyed our stay. The breakfast staff were outstanding, and the breakfast is worth the cost. The rooms could use some pictures, but are otherwise nice. The balcony was a nice touch. The lack of a second elevator results in some waiting, but nothing extreme.
Room was clean upon arrival, spacious, had a balcony and lovely view of the lake. However, service was sorely lacking. Hotel not fully operational, supposedly because of pandemic. NO DAILY HOUSEKEEPING AVAILABLE. Had to run after clean towels, and old ones were never removed. Restaurant hours restricted. Reservations needed for breakfast and pool. Limited breakfast choices, though food was good. Spa charge $15/day is ridiculous just to use a hot tub. Condescending male desk clerk. (Female employees were charming and helpful.) Undergoing spa expansion, so expect construction noise and view. Indoor pool ok but small. Would not recommend, at least not at this time.
Pros - Friendly and knowledgeable staff - Clean, quiet rooms - Free Wifi - 9km to Gramby Zoo. - Many restaurants for families around hotel. Cons - Breakfast is extra cost - No microwave in room (microwave is located in specific area and shared by all guests)

I had not even yet confirmed the booking but the customer service was horrible, on the eve I called, i was told a price ,which I was supposed to call for confirmation the next day the next day I called the price nearly doubled,on top the lady who answered was so so so rude The experience even when trying to book was so bad that I preferred cancel the place that lady who was working there as the receptionist yesterday afternoon ( 22nd July ) should seriously be coached how to offer service and be little bit nice
