Nothing fancy here, but the view of Lake Simcoe and the sunsets are wonderful. The room is clean, mattresses comfortable, has a good t.v. with enough channels. There's a fridge, microwave and coffee pot in the room. Most people bring food for snacks and breakfast and either go to restaurants for dinner or order delivery through Skip the Dishes. There is a road between the motel and the lake, but it's not heavily trafficked. Everyone brought chairs and sat by the lake. Some people even went swimming there. The owners are a young couple, very friendly and helpful. We liked it and will return next summer. Orilla seems to have a good handle on dealing with Covid-19. This motel cleans the rooms with a product that includes bleach (they showed it to me!). Restaurants have outdoor patios or drive thru and seem meticulous about wearing masks, keeping social distance and disinfecting tables, chairs and cutlery.

The Lakeside Inn has got to be one of the worst places I've ever stayed in my entire life period. The owners can't grasp any crictism of their place; and even would rather return my money then fix their BROKEN sink.... The owners said they fired customers they didn't like.... 0/10 ... Do Not Go

My husband and sister in law and myself just stayed here for the first time, and it definitely won't be the last. From check in to check out, it was amazing. The young couple that owns this place are absolutely wonderful, the atmosphere was like a home away from home. The beds were like heaven, the room was spotless, and the view from the room was postcard perfect. We will definitely return and will tell others about this amazing place.

This is an older motel with basic rooms on two levels, both of which are accessible at ground level. The view is great overlooking a lake, and the neighbourhood has some very nice and well landscaped properties. We had a room with a balcony, fridge, microwave, tv, coffee maker, and enough space to move around. The internet started working after a couple of hours and wasn't too bad.

I generally avoid driving north of Toronto from late October to mid March. The wind and snow gets more brutal as you go, and this Inn was listed, obviously, as lakeside. I figured it was so inexpensive because it was freakin' cold or something. We just needed an overnight after a show at the casino. It was definitely cold. Minus 18 Celsius (or Early Spring in Manitoba) is not this southern girls idea of a good time. Everything about the Inn, however, was delightfully warm. From staff to shower, we were never cold. They have invested in upgrades and newer furniture which was a pleasant surprise. There is obviously pride in ownership, and it shows. We came in at night (about 430pm) and it was a little hard to find. Fortunately our GPS was not on crack that day and we arrived safe and sound. It was a little unnerving as the lake was on the passenger side as we approached and I was hoping we didn't spin out or something. Stay alert and don't drive into the lake--the locals will mark you as a tourist right away. Beds comfy, room quiet fridge, microwave, coffee pot, cable, wifi all good. The information book in the room is simple and homemade but better organized and more informative than anyplace I have ever stayed. Kudos to the person who put that together. That and other little touches here and there show how thoughtful the owners are and we are much appreciative. Downs- Lobby/office is not open 24 hours and the ice machine (such as it is) is located there, so no ice after 10pm (at least in winter). The only other thing is that there is no individual control for the heat in the room. I love rad heat but it was a little warm for sleeping. It would have been good to turn down the heat. There is a window ac unit so summer shouldn't be a problem. If you have a problem with stairs, book a ground floor room as there are no elevators. It's too bad too because the balconies look lovely. Recommendation to the owners; consider making the bathroom fixtures a bit more updated. A new shower head goes a long way.
