This hotel was clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly. Only 15 minutes from the casino made it a great option at a great price. On site restaurant but lots of others within walking distance. Pool where also nice. Rooms and beds were comfy, equipped with a fridge and microwave.
Had another great stay at this property. All staff are always excellent and make you feel like family. Rooms are always clean and comfortable. We held a meeting on site and it was catered by the in house restaurant .The service and food were excellent. I would highly recommend this property.
Hotel was as expected, we planned a weekend getaway to get some Christmas shopping done, hit up the casino and catch a show! Our stay was fine. There was a hockey team (or a couple) also staying but we were informed of this upon check in. Not a deal breaker, we know how hockey goes and the teams were friendly and respectful. Room was spacious yet a little dated but were super happy with all the extra space provided. Worked for us!
Room was not clean, rotten egg smell and staff were not concerned. Restaurant staff bickered amongst each other, service took hours and paying was next to impossible. Staff forgot food, took food away without asking when we weren't finished eating. I did pre-checkin online and still waited for at least 30 minutes at the desk while they made changes as there were errors and our room wasn't ready (it was after checkin time that we arrived). Will never stay at this location again.
Now this placed was total opposite to Previous Best Western. We were greeted with a nice smile and said they were glad to have a Diamond select rewards member stay with them. The lady also gave us a lovely Best Western bag with 2 complimentary bottles of water and said we would receive bonus points with our stay. She asked if we needed help with our luggage and offered to bring to our room 108. We were ok with using the luggage cart by our selves. I am disabled and use a walker to get around. Even the room seemed better than the last place. Will return to this Best Western in the future but not the Best Western in Huntsville. NEEDS an onsite restaurant
Our group was very pleased with the hotel, its staff and services over the past long weekend, and found the cost reasonable for what was provided. The hotel was our base of operations for day trips to the Muskoka and Kawartha areas and, of course, a night at Casino Rama.
Stayed here between 2nd and 4th October for a near by wedding. No issues with staff, very pleasant and helpful. Overall the hotel looked very dated. In the room there was a strong odour similar to a retirement home. The walls were all painted the same colour including the doors and trim as they have obviously given up on the presentation. There were tea and coffee facilities but no cream/milk/sugar. Fridge worked well One of the beds had the previous guests stale pizza under it (which may have been the cause for the smell). The beds did have stains on them but appeared to be at least washed in. We were just under $500 for two nights which I'm really dissatisfied with.
We checked in for a couple nights stay while visiting friends in Orillia. The front desk person was hospitable and had our room keys ready quickly enough. We were in a ground floor room which looks like it had been updated within the past few years. Walking down the hallway you can tell that this is a classic older hotel and management must find it a challenge to keep it up to date and compete with all the other options in Orillia. The room was clean, The bed was not a pillow-top as advertised and was on the firm side, however the bedding was very comfortable. I like that this hotel has the lighter weight duvets and bed sheets. Too many hotels have those big heavy duvets which require you to set the thermostat to 65 degrees in order to sleep without sweating. The TV was quite large, with an excellent selection of HD channels to chose from and the WIFI was strong. The fridge was disconnected which was I didn't know when I put my food in there only to find everything warm the next morning. That was annoying. Anyways, the microwave and Keurig were a nice touch. The only negatives honestly were the lack of working amenities. The hot tub wasn't working. The sauna wasn't working. The pool is so shallow I think it is a safety hazard. Also at checkout I was charged more than what I booked the room for using the Best Western website. It was less about $10 difference but it bothered me that the final rate on the website is not what you pay when you leave. I didn't want to debate with the friendly lady at the front desk but it was a turn off. Bottom line is we slept good and maybe we would stay here again when visiting Orillia.…
This hotel is not worth what they are charging. Was clean enough but for the price I was expecting more. Be prepared to pay through the nose for a breakfast that most come complimentary . The restaurant that is attached was the highlight, and I would go again to it in a heartbeat.
We absolutely enjoyed our stay. Loved the breakfast buffet. My kids loved the swimming pool.Well kept property. Loved that the hotel is pet friendly and there’s an area close to the room to take her outside. Beds were very comfortable. Room was very clean. Will absolutely be back for another holiday. Thank you for making our stay memorable.
