This three room B&B serves a memorable breakfast, all in finesse and quality. The owners are cool, unimposing and sympathetic. The rooms are very comfortable and quiet. The place is a short walk away from the lake and Magog's main street, and is surrounded by similar B&B in a residential setting. We would not hesitate a second to book there again, and we do hope to go back.
My boyfriend and I stayed for 2 nights and had a great stay. Our hosts greeted us upon arrival and were very welcoming, showing us to our room and also informed us about places we should visit within the eastern townships. The home was bright, stylish, clean and comfortable. Our room was great - which beyond a very comfortable bed included an ensuite bathroom, a mini fridge, a seating area and a tv with Netflix. The house also had a pool which was free to use at any time, and they provided us with towels to use at the pool or at the nearby beach. Breakfast was also incredible, I have a gluten allergy (celiac disease) and was served amazing gluten free breakfasts. They were very careful with my allergy and I felt safe enjoying the food I was given. The home was also perfectly located near the beach and Main Street of the town. if you’re visiting the townships I definitely recommend staying in Magog. The town is close to key locations within the townships and has some great restaurants. Thank you so much for our incredible stay, we hope to return one day!…
A cozy place to stay on our holiday getaway. The room was very comfortable and the food delicious! Louise and Richard are so warm and welcoming, they went the extra mile to make sure we had everything we needed and helped me choose a great restaurant for a romantic dinner. Thank you!
Louise and Richard are exceptional hosts. The breakfasts far exceeded our expectations. We could not have asked for anything more conducive for a weekend gathering. They really made the family gathering something special.
Louise and Richard are pros at knowing what people are looking for in a B&B. They were able to accommodate all of our needs. Their home was warm, cozy, and the beds were so comfortable. Their breakfasts were a solid “10” (1-10)! We will be back!
Louise and Richard provide a welcoming space, clean and quiet. The location is great, walk to the main street with lots of restaurants and shops and the paths along the lake. Breakfast was delicious every day. Highly recommend.
Shortly after booking through them, we received an email asking 1) Do you have allergies or food intolerances? 2) Are you vegetarian? 3) Do not like/eat certain foods? AND the spoiling started. Arrival is between 4pm-8pm. We received our key from Louise and she showed us to our room. We had booked The Singing Rooster suite as it had a nice sitting area. We received a coupon for local restaurants that offered a discount. Tuesday morning's breakfast was maple yogourt with granola and fruit and a glass of orange juice. Coffee was also served. Then we had an omelette (bacon, cheese and veggies) with home fries and toast with homemade strawberry jam. BUT wait there's more, a small individual chocolate cake with melted chocolate sauce. Heavenly. Louise gave us pamphlets of places to explore in the area and a suggested scenic route down to Stanstead. Wednesday morning's breakfast was strawberries with a light sprinkling of balsamic vinegar. Then French toast which was made with cinnamon raisin bread. Between the two pieces was a bacon and light cheese layer with Quebec maple syrup. Divine! To finish, an individual vanilla cake with maple. * Two other woman were staying at the same time as us and they are vegetarians. Richard and Louise ensured that they had a meatless meal. Louise said their goal was to spoil us and boy did we ever feel spoiled!! Richard and Louise are the best!…
This is a lovely bed and breakfast. The hosts are wonderful, very friendly and inviting and kept us laughing and entertained throughout our stay. We have stayed there several times, and have made it our birthday getaway, i.e. at least twice a year. We are returning again in November, accompanied by our family.
We just finished a perfect 3 night stay at Au Coq du Bonheur. The house is charming and the hosts, Louise and Richard, are delightful. We highly recommend the Suite Le Coq Chanteur - bright and spacious with a very comfortable bed. The B&B is within walking distance of many great restaurants and very close to the waterfront. If you are planning a trip to Magog, we highly recommend staying at Au Coq du Bonheur. Thank you Louise and Richard for making us feel so welcomed.
Breakfasts were top of the line. The room was very nice and the bed comfortable. The hosts were great and went the extra mile to answer questions and help with an excursion. Magog is a nice place to spend a few days with plenty of places to walk and cycle..
