I registered my reservation to this local B&B back in January 2022. In my original reservation, I had asked a few questions concerning the room I had book, but never received a reply. About 4-5 days ago, I decided to follow up on this. I called the number listed on both my RSVP and their website 819-843-8480 and got a recorded message that the phone was no longer registered. Out of concern over this, I reached out to the B&B through their contact link on their website & wrote a message in both French & English. After receiving no reply, I tried e-mailing them directly at email@example.com, and still no reply. I contacted a local hotel (Auberge du Grand Lac) in the area to see if they are still in business, and they couldn't reach them either. I finally had to send a note assuming that they were no longer in business and that I should consider my reservation cancelled and non-existent. I wanted to warn others of this disappointing experience, as their website appears to be operational.…
A well located B&B with its charm. Rooms are spacious with a small air conditioner. Walking distance to downtown. They have a kitchen available for guest upstairs, but there is no stove. Nice neighbourhood. Owners are friendly and welcoming. Shower curtains should be replaced, but otherwise a nice place though a bit pricy for a B&B.
Unfortunately only stayed for one night in this charming town and equally charming B&B. Our room was called Cerise which had a separate seating area and small balcony. The ensuite was comparatively small but adequate for our needs. Just a pity there was no shampoo but, hey, that was the only negative we could find. Pierre and Lyn, the owners, were very helpful and gave us discount vouchers for local restaurants. Their recommendations were good. There is also a small kitchen for the use of guests. Breakfast was excellent and served by our hosts. The B&B is a short walk downhill to the many small shops, restaurants and river. We were disappointed that we couldn't stay longer- we may have had chance to use the hot tub. One of the best B&Bs we have stayed in
Pierre and Lyne are the new owner and operators (since March or April) of Maison Drew. They are friendly, very accommodating and could not be more helpful. We had a choice of rooms as we were the only guests during our stay. Each room has its features good and not so good but they all had a draw. Breakfast served in the front enclosed former porch is very nice. Choice of sweet (doux) or savory (salée). No in-room fridge but there is a large semi-kitchen in the common area that has a full-sized fridge and a dining table to eat your picnic. Wine glasses and cork screw in room.. As for rooms, remember that the house is old (over a century) and as such, doesn't have the sound proofing of newer structures.
We stayed at this B & B as part of a self-guided walking tour of the Eastern Provinces. The rooms on the second floor have a sitting area with a couch along with the bedroom, small balcony and bath. In addition, there is a shared full kitchen which we used to make our picnic lunches. It has a great location that is easy to walk to the marsh and downtown and also very close to a large grocery and self-service laundromat. David and Bridgette were very accommodating and made a very nice breakfast.
We also stayed as part of a self-guided cycle tour and were given a restful and interesting time by David and Bridgette. There is a lot to do in the town of Magog and this B and B is within walking distance of the main areas of interest - the lakeside walks and the town centre. We stayed in one of the suite-style rooms.
My husband and I stayed here for two nights as part of a self-guided bike tour. David and Bridgette were excellent hosts and the house dog, Bella is adorable. Our stay was very comfortable in one of the suites on the second floor. It was nice to have a shared kitchen to use for preparing our picnic lunches for the day's ride. Breakfasts were tasty and on the beautiful verandah. This is a lovely place to stay.
Our room was comfortable and spacious. The hosts, Briggitte and David were very friendly and helpful. David gave us lots of information on what to do in the area. Breakfast was excellent, both beautiful and delicious! Bella, their dog was also cute. :)
La Maison Drew is an excellent find in Magog, an active town on the north shore of Lake Memphremagog. Situated a short walk from downtown, the lakeshore and the bike path, the hosts (Brigitte, David) go out of their way to ensure that your stay will be enjoyable. They immediately assume the role of concierge, directing you to area locales that are consistent with your interests. Plenty of maps and brochures are available to review the Eastern Township's many offerings. Upon return from your day's adventures, David or Brigitte will inquire about the events of the day and, if requested, assist with dinner plans. And, their breakfasts are outstanding, clearly on the creative side with seconds available for the asking. My room was spacious and the in-window air conditioner was more than adequate to cool on hot summer nights. I will return upon future visits to the Townships.…
This August we stayed at La Maison Drew and had a wonderful time. The room was comfortable as well as larger then some B&B's. David and Brigitte were excellent hosts from their first greeting through area recommendations, with excellent breakfasts and fun conversations. One of the best features was that the B&B was a short walk to the main street of Magog. We rode bicycles right from the B&B as well. We would stay again and are confident that others would enjoy a stay there as well.
