This is a great hotel to stay at, albeit was just one night... the check-in was seamless, the staff told us upfront, all that we needed to know. Since the property is extremely large, a shuttle took us to our room- this service is always available. The room was clean and comfortable, but a little small. the room service was...

Hotel conveniently situated and lovely greens. We were awarded an upgrade to a more spacious room. Reception staff were friendly. Room was ok but cleanliness of hotel in general should be improved. At breakfast staff members were not friendly. The toilets at reception were untidy and there was a nasty smell in the foyer. I definitely don't regard this hotel...

I stayed at the Indaba for a conference. I've been here before for similar events and while they have updated the conference facilities which are lovely, the old rooms need a major overhaul. They are old, chipped, cracked and musty. There is a new wing but I didn't see those rooms. The food is fine - and reasonably priced. I...

I've often have to come to JHB one of the best things for me is to be able to be booked into Indaba Hotel. The Rooms are very comfortable, a selection of DSTV and free wi-fi helps to pass the evening. The Chiefs Boma is always fantastic with regards variety of food. Was really nice to see a vegetarian lansgna...

Warm welcome, rooms quite basic but clean. Staff were friendly. Good shuttle service to local shopping mall. Chiefs Boma, African themed restaurant was amazing. If it rains very few places to socialise with other guests

Been there for a while and need to get used to the local scene. Friendly service, great breakfast, clean and the rooms are spread out nicely throughout the grounds. The drinks and food is quite inexpensive and the nearby entertainment/dining hall, including local music, is a real treat. Just watch that the rooms are not too far from the main...

I have mixed feelings about the Indaba after having working with them in planning a recent conference and spending four nights at the hotel. The hotel grounds are certainly beautiful and expansive. There’s lots of birds on the premises and some nice outdoor spaces. My room was adequate (the bed was really comfortable), but I found the hair dryer to...

There are so many things that are great about this hotel....and yet there are a few that make me scratch my head. Let's start with the good. 1. The staff is so very friendly and helpful you have to feel good about them. They really try to help. See my comments about rooms below 2. The grounds are impeccably maintained...

Don' forget your binoculars or telephoto lens for your camera. The special feature of this hotel is the nature of the garden, nay water garden. The very vermilion southern red bishop sits on the reeds on the edge of the pond, seemingly obvious to humankind. But there were birds everywhere and at dusk provided a wonderful chorus. The food here...

Recent reviews have mentioned unreliable and late room service (check), unnecessary and tacky muzak in the courtyard (check), too many and too loud TV screens in the bar (check), indifferent service in the restaurant (check). Add my room still not having been made up by 1.30pm. The grounds are attractive but otherwise it's a bed for the night and a...
