One of the best resorts to stay near Palampur, Dharamshala, McLeod Ganj if you would like to spend some wonderful relaxing time without noise, hustle bustle of the city and experience very good service.
The resort has an absolutely stunning location and more importantly at a decent rate thus you get full value for your money.
Staff: The hotel staff is superb, well behaved and ever ready to help. All of them right from security to reception desk, the hotel restaurant staff is amazing.
Location: Amazing location, around 45 mins from Dharamshala airport, 1km close to Praur market and 40 kms to Dharamshala, McLeod ganj and approximately 25 km Palampur. Tip: Resort doesn’t have shops close by & the nearest market is Praur 1km thus please stock snacks if you like munching like me or travelling with kids.
Rooms: We booked the Suite for 7 days and though pictures are amazing but they still don’t do justice to the peacefulness, beautiful view available right from your sofa. (104 no.). Take atleast 2 days out your itinerary to just stay and enjoy in the resort.
Going around: The resort is away from city thus, using ur own car or taxi is the best option. We used taxi for all sightseeing, luckily we found an amazing person as our driver Mr. Deshraj. He is absolute gem of a person and pretty experienced in his field and knowledge of going around. If going for a taxi I would highly recommend booking him for your tour. He has an etios well maintained clean and nice, can book bigger car like Innova if needed.

Tips: 1) Do try Dharamshala-McLeod Ganj rope way. Timing morning: 10am to 5.30pm. It drops exactly next to Dalai Lama temple and then you can walk upwards towards market and enjoy strolling. Avoid weekend if possible to avoid crowd.
2) Do take time to visit Norbulingka Institute. 3) Dharamshala stadium is under renovation so ground is all dug up but still visit for the feel. 4) Keep a day to walk through McLeod Ganj shop, eat at wonderful cafes or restaurants (Jimmy’s Kitchen and others)

My family along with our friend stayed there in May 2024 for four days.This is aremarkable place with excellent location of river front.Ona can enjoy cool water of rivulet with mountains and pine trees in the background along with your drinks and food served there. The rooms are clean and spacious with android TV and fridge.The view from balcony of river and mountains is enchanting.The rooms are cleaned daily along with fresh toiletry and towels.The staff is very efficient and courteous The quality of food is very good,and also there is a bar where one can enjoy. And in the last,this is the only place I have seen where your car is clened daily free of cost

This is a marvelous property, next to the Neugal river and is value for money. The view from every room is mesmerizing and one just cannot have enough of it. The staff was very responsive and the food very tasty. Had the opportunity to meet the owner Mr Hitesh Sharma, a very friendly and dynamic gentleman who personally supervises and ensures everything. Over all a heavenly experience. We are very avid and passionate about travelling and practically travel every alternate month. I can claim with authority this was one of our best experience in the past decade. Guests from anywhere can take a flight to Dharamshala ( via Delhi ) and a taxi to the Resort which is just 28 kms from the Airport and 10 kms short of Palampur town. A week long holiday to this resort ( also covering near by areas ) will be a life time experience worth every penny. We have planned to visit it again next year.

I will.give it a 5 star rating if the resort needs to be rated on its location. God what a beautiful location next to the river and lush green hills along with the pristine snow peaks that are at our disposal to soak in. I must say the owner found a gem on location and has created a nice resort with good rooms their service staff and house keeping are extremely sweet and smiling , but afternoon or morninh managers at the restraunt( not the night one he is sweet as well ) are very rigid and somewhat rude. The breakfast included in our room 105 which is costing us 12k pernight as we r currently still staying here is a shame . Such limited options with hardly any major change everyday , their eggs to order are absolutely tasteless not made well at all , we are traveling with kids and they don't seem to cater well to tastes suitable for children apart from pasta which is made well . A breakfast is a highlight for me as a traveler bur unfortunately this place needs much improvement in order to provide a breakfast worthy of their room rent or property location. The property itself is made well staff is sweet and courteous apart from a few, would not be returning for sure only because of the unfit breakfast spread. They need much improvement if they want their guests to return otherwise location u cannot ask for a better spot.

We stayed here in December 2022! One of the best hotel experiences ever! Hospitable staff and great food. Food was always fresh and tasty. Lot of vegetarian options. Room was well kept , big and classy. This resort changed the definition of " good service " for us. Our room was a family room with 2 beds and a hall. Towels , Soap and anything else for our comfort was delivered in within 10 min of our call to housekeeping. It is a new resort but an excellent one. 10/10 would recommend

I visited this beautiful property for one night.. Location of property is extremely nice and beautiful. Located right on Neugal river, pure white in colour, very clean, soothing voice, makes you feel like in heaven. Hotel rooms are good in size with good staff to hear you all the time.
Trout fish is must eat while here. Chicken Biryani and Mutton adds more taste to your stay. Must visit place..

The hospitality of the Staff is impeccable, Awesome View of White Mountains. Rooms on the bench of River.... Every time we listen the voice of Water... and Super Quality food is like Cherry on the Cake. Ambiance is mind-blowing | would visit again. Must visit here if you visit Palampur. It was wonderful staying at the Neugal Riverfront Resort. The location is perfect with the most scenic & beautiful view of the river & Dhauldaar range mountains. The amenities are great & the staff is very courteous. One can enjoy waking up to the scenery in the daytime, sit by the river & bonfires in the evenings. A perfect mountain getaway!
