My girlfriend and I planned a trip from NZ to Canada, we booked in at Painters Lodge to finish our tenting camping trip and what a stay it was. It was only three nights but completely amazing. The place was clean and tidy the beds super comfy. Its beautifully laid out. We made the most of the facilities - the...

Sorry for the delay posting, but you guys were so good I wanted to say thanks!!! On our arrival to Campbell River we tried to book onto a boat trip elsewhere but they were full and so directed us to Painter's Lodge. We took a trip out on a Zodiac with a great guide, Bradon, and had an awesome experience!...

I stayed here in the summer and was surprised at just how large the rooms are. The front foyer and main lodge have excellent views of the inlet. The restaurant has great food and is great for an older crowd looking for a few drinks or game of pool. The staff was friendly, helpful and made the stay that much...

We spend almost a week at Painter's Lodge last summer. Although the rooms have no airconditioning, it was still a very nice and comfortable place to stay and relax for 5 nights during our trip through West Canada. In the mornings we went sightseeing and the afternoons we spent at the pool, we did the sunset cruise, which I really...

Sorry the review is a while coming but I keep finding different things to comment on on Trip Advisor. My husband and I from the UK have visited Canada several times, the most recent a few years ago. As part of our month long trip we spent some time on Vancouver Island at the Fairmont Empress as part of our...

We had a room overlooking the dock at Painter's Lodge. Loved seeing all the activity watching for seals, eagles and whales. Everyone we met at the lodge was very friendly and hospitable. We really enjoyed taking the water taxi to their sister property, April Point. We had lunch and dinner - both were excellent. Both are older properties, but the...

Weddings at Painters Lodge are very well executed thanks to head office and Sheila Milner. She is terrific at what she does and genuinely cares about the couple and families. The DJ being hired out is amazing - they do everything you want perfectly and shut the party down accordingly. I suggest doing a marine activity during your stay and...

Sheila certainly is our wonderful Events Coordinator and we are delighted that your wedding at Painter’s Lodge was everything you hoped, and you even managed to fit in some fishing! We hope that you will come back to Painter’s Lodge and reminisce about your special day and make some new memories. Thanks for the review. Sincerely, Dean Prentice General Manager,...

All in all a great experience. Service was awesome . View to die for and fishing was fantastic. Russ was a great guide. The bar staff were great and we actually made new friendships. It was a shame April Point was closed for winter as we love the taxi service between both lodges. There's always next year.

Russ is a fantastic guide and I am not surprised you had a great charter – it is great to hear that the fish were biting for you too. The season at April Point is a little shorter than at Painter’s Lodge (mid May - mid September) but our water-taxi service runs every 30 minutes when both resorts are open....

Amazed by the friendly staff great rooms and hot tub after a great days fishing or whale watching. Food good in both the pub and the restaurant. The guides really know their stuff only had 4 nights here wished we had longer hopefully the new owners will continue with the painters lodge tradition and not turn it into condos

Thank you for your lovely comments. It is certainly our hope that the new purchaser will continue to run the Lodge in the same way as it was established, including focusing on marine activities, and having friendly and efficient service that Painter’s Lodge is famous for. Sincerely, Dean Prentice General Manager, Painter’s Lodge
