Beautiful place, they went out of their way to make us feel at home. We stayed because another place double booked and left us stranded. The owners welcomed us in at 11 pm at night. Comfortable beds. Very clean. Thank you

This is a really lovely place tucked up in the mountains away from the chain hotels on the strip by the highway. We had just stayed in a chain hotel in Canmore that was perfectly fine but this was a holiday experience that lifted my spirits. Before we arrived we had a hectic day on the tourist trail (Lake Louise... More

Doris made us feel at home in this lovely lodge. Clean comfortable rooms allowed for a great sleep and a delicious breakfast greeted us in the morning. We relaxed by watching the hummingbirds buzz on the deck facing the mountains, and had a nice walk to the river. Recommended for a quiet stop along any journey.

The owners Doris and Norbert were very friendly and welcoming: they seemed almost members of my family which was gathered there for a reunion. The venue lends itself to a family gathering; we were able to have the entire facility for our exclusive use. The rooms are spacious, well care for, spacious, and uniquely furnished. We slept soundly in a... More

We stayed at the lodge the second time this year. We stayed in Golden several times before, but this lodge is the best in Golden by far. The view is just stunning, you can sit outside on the balcony, enjoy breakfast or an excellent and healthy home cooked evening meal with no traffic noise. Just listening to the creek across... More

We stayed at the lodge for Family Day weekend and found it to be very clean and comfortable. The rooms are simple but spacious. The owners are very friendly, talkative, and welcoming. We opted to have breakfast on two mornings and were stuffed with delicious home cooking. The lodge is about a 10 minute drive from downtown Golden and 25-30... More

My partner and I spent 2 great nights over the long week end at Glenogle Lodge. Here's a few things you need to know to appreciate the place : this is no hotel. It's more like a large B&B, with attentive European hosts (German), and a family atmosphere to it like staying at your parents for the week end. Location... More

Had the great pleasure of staying at Glenogle over the Christmas holidays for 2 nights and absolutely loved it. There were 5 of us spread between two very spacious rooms that were very clean and comfortable. Doris & Norbert are exceptional hosts who really looked after us and made us feel like family. Look forward to coming back for another... More

We came here off-season with another couple and made reservations ahead of time. The owner Doris greeted us with a warm hug, with Norbert in tow. There was no one else staying at the Lodge, nor were there other reservations in the dining room, but they stay open for us and treated us so well. We had the schnitzel, as... More
