I was looking for a place to sleep not a resort. The cheap chains wanted twice as much. The owner does not speak English well but service was great, Great food nearby as well. Room met my needs and I was pleased. Close to Transcanada highway as well.

We enquired at this motel to find the lady on the front desk had very poor English comprehension. After looking at the room (which was very nice) and following further discussion, we declined to stay. Our understanding from (otherwise good) reviews, was that breakfast was available in the restaurant, but the restaurant had been closed! We felt uncomfortable about the...

Right of highway, easy to find, and then to get back on Highway in the am. Clean, quiet. Breakfast had fresh fruit (oranges and organic bananas) and the usual waffle iron, toast, cereal, yogurt and coffee. Fair, again clean and good attention to cleaning up. So if its a fast overnight, not a problem

A bit out of downtown core and rooms a little noisy from nearby road if windows left open. Nice log cabin style motel that is out of the norm for most hotels. Rooms are average but clean could use a little updating. No long distance calls allowed but not a big problem. Restaurant is good run by honest and friendly...

Merritt was an unscheduled stop on a recent bike trip across southern British Columbia, but rain and impending darkness made it necessary to find a room for the night. The first pass through town didn't offer much promise of anything other than typical tired small town motels, but the Merritt Lodge Motel was chosen because of its clean, tidy appearance...

We were in transit to Vancouver and overnighted in Merritt. Wing, the owner/manager was very helpful and stayed up late as we were delayed (you should have seen how delayed the deer was we hit east of Kamloops). The lodge is in an industrial area although downtown in a few Klicks away. The rooms were clean, generally quiet (save for...

This motel is one of the best in Merritt! If you been in log cabins before and loved its natural look, then you will definitely feel the nostalgia. Services are great here and it feels very comfortable and sanitary. There is also a restaurant here that serves amazing food, give it a try if your stomach is calling!

With the log cabin feel and the cleanliness I truly love staying there. The owner is a wonderful caring man, who wants you to enjoy your stay! Haven't tried the restaurant yet, but am told by locals they serve great food! Will be trying next week.
