OK! This is a budget motel, but it has its perks. There is no parking lot. There is free street parking in front of the inn from 5 pm to 9 am. Staff are even willing to feed coins in the parking meter if necessary. Rooms are small. Barely room to turn around with the king-size bed in our room....

We drove into Nelson late evening and stopped to find a place to spend the night. There were no rooms available at the Mountain Hound Inn. We were disappointed but the receptionist Man-Ying went above and beyond to help us find another place nearby. Man-Ying had a cute personality and was so amazingly helpful that next time we head to...

The staff were great, the room was clean and the bed comfortable. The air conditioner worked fine ( it was 35 deg C outside ). This is great value as everything else in Nelson is much more. We stayed for four nights.

My husband and I enjoyed 2 nights in Nelson April 7-8, and appreciated staying downtown, a walk from fine restaurants, shops, and the beautiful waterfront strand area. Clean, basic room, reasonable rates, modest continental breakfast. Comfortable King bed, fridge in room. We appreciated the friendly help from Frances and Tom at the desk, and the housekeeper Tatiana insisted on carrying...

Simple, clean, and friendly. It is in a great location in the heart of the town. Good breakfast muffins. Nice staff. The only negative is you could hear people in the adjacent room or passing by in the hall. It was not a big deal, though.

We've started numerous times here and have not been disappointed. The rooms are nothing fancy, very simple and plain, but they are very clean and comfortable. The beds are comfy and the stay is quiet...no issues with noise. It's right on Baker St. with easy walking access to lots of shupping and restaurants. There is only on street parking which...

The staff is friendly. The rooms are very, very small. Nothing special, and no view. But the location is nice as it's right on Baker Street, which is the main street. The room was quiet, and very clean.

My stay was for 3 days and the staff were just wonderful, the bed comfortable and the hotel very quiet. For awhile one evening there was a fairly exuberant group but they were told to keep it down about 10pm and after that were angels. I would stay here anytime i visit.

I'd had a terrible flight with delays and cancellations and overnight stay in the airport. That is just to emphasize how tired I was and how I slept like a rock every night on a comfortable bed, quiet room and enjoyed hot coffee complimentary every morning. Location us perfect and the staff acted like missing luggage problem was their missing...

This hotel was conveniently located in the heart of downtown. The town closes up pretty early but it was nice to be able to walk a few blocks either way and see things. The room was small but had what we needed but a coffee maker would have been nice. The price reflects the amenities.
