Original and stylish rooms right in the centre of Squamish. Super-friendly welcome. Restaurants, cafes and shops are within sight. Great view from our room. But beware, this is a party hotel. At check-in we were told that the hotel had a pub and a nightclub. So far no problem with that, but with the fact that neither the pub nor the nightclub are soundproofed in any way. Sleeping is practically impossible with booming bass or live performances one floor below. The lady at the reception was very friendly, but as travellers with children she gave us a room directly above the entrance to the nightclub. That's a good way to scare guests away. If you want to party all night, the Crash Hotel is the place to be. Otherwise, I can't really recommend the hotel, despite the fancy rooms.
This is a really cool kitschy hotel. I booked this for my husband and I and another couple for our first night in British columbia. It was a perfect stay in the heart of a very cool small town. The views were unbelievable, the people in town are super friendly, there's a wide variety of food choices and the host of the hotel and staff made the trip even better. Our room had two double beds and we're very comfortable and it overlooked the Main Street and the huge granite mountain. At night I was in search of some milk and the host actually found some somewhere and brought it to a room after we were unable to locate any of the restaurants nearby! This is definitely worth a visit!
Super cut set up, funky room, clean room, fun location with a view of the Chief. Polite staff. Our room was above the night club. The music was so loud that the floor was vibrating. You could literally feel the music with your feet. The techno beats didn’t end until 3 am, and then the screaming and shouting outside our window began. If you intend to party at the club and fall asleep in the morning, then you should stay here. If you actually plan to sleep, I’m not exaggerating- this place is not for you. If you want to get up early to go for a hike, or are bringing your kids on a trip, this is not the venue you are looking for.
Few years ago this hotel was a dump. New owners renovated all the rooms and wow very impressed. The rooms are expensive but very clean. Sheets - no stains and very white, towels - fluffy and no stains, room very clean. Bathroom small but clean. Room has a stocked fridge with beer, pop, vodka, fireball for a cost. Snacks as well for a cost. Coffee machine but no sugar/creamer. My room had a great view of The Chief.
I thought booking at the Crash Hotel Squamish was a 50/50 shot of either finding a fun and funky boutique hotel or a pig in makeup. It was both. Charming redesign choices don't compensate for being over-priced and lacking in basics. We were given key cards to the wrong room at check in, our bathroom had only one hook and no bar for the towels, the mini fridge has a glass door and lights that don't turn off (I draped my raincoat over it to try to darken the room), and worst of all there was a giant clump of black hair on the bathroom floor - given that we are still in a pandemic, that was horrifying. If you value style over substance, stay at the Crash. If value and cleanliness are more your thing, keep searching.
Myself and my partner stayed here in November and it was awesome. The rooms were super cool with they way they decorated them. The staff were super accommodating and even laid down some roses on the bed for us. Highly recommend for everyone. Would stay again for sure.
Talk about attention to detail! From the moment we arrived we were welcomed with exceptional customer service. The little details found at Crash are sure to impress! We were celebrating our engagement and it seemed all of Crash was there to celebrate us! We also experienced The Goat and played music bingo such a fun pubcade. Crash has my highest recommendation for customer service, cleanliness, and a fun time! We 100% will be recommending them to all of our wedding guest during the summer of 2021! Thank you, Crash!!!
No mention on the website or OTAs that this is directly above a nightclub and the bass is so loud you might as well be trying to sleep next to the speakers. Definitely not the vibe we were going for, and that's totally fine, but be upfront and honest about it. Had we known, we would have chosen somewhere else instead of inflicting such a terrible experience on ourselves. No sympathy from staff who inaccurately told us it was explained upon booking, it wasn't. This is a party hotel, it's loud, if that's what you're looking for you'll be fine. If you're looking for the "cozy hotel" that is "vintage yet contemporary" with "quiet floors" as they try to claim they are, you'll be disappointed - it's a cheap paint job over an old motel with cheap amenities. And it's only one floor. Not worth the price. Could have easily avoided such disappointment if they accurately represented themselves.…
