The motel is in a good location for people taking the Portsmouth/Yarmouth ferry. Simple double bed rooms; dated carpeting. Our room had a refrigerator and microwave. Also had a Unibody tub/shower combination which is a favorite of mine in hotels (there is no possibility of mold and other issues.) Cars park right outside the motel room doors, which is a...

Dear friends...Thank you for your great review & yes windows are open cause we had no a/c, however we are installing a/c. we have several rooms done and plan to do more before next season. Hopefully it will help with outside noises and hopefully we'll see you if ever in Yarmouth again...Staff & Management of the Voyageur Motel

The motel is old and needs a lot of help. It is a throwback to motels of the 1970's. Seems a good place for truck drivers. No ambience. Hard to find and a ways out of town. Pick another place to stay..

dear classy......yes motels get old as time goes by just as you do...I had this place built in l988 and really feel despite work in renovations done on a yearly basis and having had loss of income in the vicinity of $100000. per year with the loss of our ferry service, yes we do have a lot to do. And...

Room very comfortable, clean & quiet. Owner very friendly, even made me toast one morning when I didn't want the muffin. Did a load of wash for me & returned it nicely clean & folded. Great family restaurant next door serving great seafood. Easily accessible to town & sights. Would return when in the area.

We found the room very comfortable and clean. The owner and staff were very friendly and helpful. Marianne, the owner, did everything she could to make our stay a good and pleasant one. The location is convenient to excellent restaurants and just next door to the Voyageur, is a family restaurant which serves wonderful seafood.

I have stayed at the Voyageur Motel many times before, and have NEVER been disappointed. The rooms are very clean, the staff extremely friendly, the service was great. Light breakfast of coffee and muffins 'hit the spot' early in the morning. I will recommend the Voyageur Motel (Yarmouth NS) to others, and stay there again 'in a heart beat'. Thanks...

This place reminds me of the motels we used in the 1970s. No complimentary breakfast, no coffee maker in the room, a pop bottle opener attached to the sink in the bathroom, no air conditioning. But the room was clean, the TV had a full package of stations available, the wifi was free (though seems a tad insecure), the beds...

Yes we had this built in 1988 so it is getting dated. However we are doing our best to renew as we can afford to do so...we are putting in a/c as well we have several items on our list to improve as we see fit...hopefully we will see you again. Marianne

Traveling with children and pets is very difficult; it is hard to find decent places to stay. I had issues with my credit card on check in; panic stricken thinking we were without a room for the night. Most places would have turned us away. The owner spent over 40 minutes on the phone with my credit card company trying...

I was traveling through Nova Scotia and was tired from driving when I got to Yarmouth. I checked into the Voyageur Motel in Yarmouth; the owner was very friendly and helpful and she had the cutest little dog. It really gave a family feeling. The room I got was clean and decent. I had a great night's sleep. The next...

We selected the Voyager based upon other reviews. Although it was adequate, we didn't think it deserved a rating above average. It was dated, but clean. Coffee and muffins in the morning were nice. We did learn that we could have saved a few buck by booking directly rather than through booking.com.
