Clean, quiet, affordable accommodation for a night or two. Not a long stay (week) property. Close to downtown and within walking distance to several restaurants and the beach front. Rooms fairly small.

Very easy to recommend this place considering the price point. It's quite well put together- the exterior is done in a kind of Pueblo style while the rooms are more or less conventional motel rooms. The standout feature of this place is its proximity to downtown Osoyoos. If you are into walking around town you probably won't find a cheaper...

Arrived late in evening pulling a large utility trailer so we're looking for roomy parking. The Super 8 was all locked up so we chose this motel nearby. Very pleasant young man checked us in. We wanted a king bed and were assigned the handicapped room. Older style motel, the room was super clean, and well appointed, although with older...

This hotel is located right downtown in Osoyoos. It's well situated across from Tim Horton's and is near shopping, restaurants and more. The excellent swimming beach is barely 2 blocks away. We thought that the location would prove to be very noisy. Not at all! Despite the location on the main street, at the cross road of highway 3 and...

AVALON INN – OSOYOOS, B.C. We stayed in a family suite in order to have a stove, fridge and microwave…otherwise did not really need a suite. This is an older upgraded hotel and nothing fancy, but seemed clean and fairly well maintained. Its fine for the price compared to alternatives in Osoyoos, a resort town...though pricey for our budget. Very...

The AC only worked intermittently. The whole room smelled of smoke. The room was unclean with hair and a dead spider in the bathroom. The location is convenient though especially with the Tims across the street. If you don't mind a walk there are many restaurants down the road.

Rooms are nice sized and have TV, fridge and comfortable beds, The place is on one end of town but still close to everything with a dinner right next door. Friendly, helpful staff. Tim Horton's right across the street for basic foods and a grocery store easily within walking distance.Grounds are kept up nicely and the place is clean. I'd...

The warm summer weather, cooling lakes and surrounding wineries are the big attractions in this desert town. You will pay a premium for lakeside, but not at this little motel. It is pretty clean (except the phone & tv in my room were ancient and a little dusty). It is located right on Main St./highway 3 which makes it rather...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Welcome to the Avalon Inn, located in the heart of downtown Osoyoos, British Columbia. Just across the street from Tim Horton's, and a five minute walk away from the shores of Osoyoos Lake, this family owned motel can assure you a good night's rest. Although we are located just off Main Street / Highway 3, we offer one of the quietest accommodations in the community as each classically furnished room is soundproofed for your privacy and peace of mind. Here you have access to free Wi-Fi internet, cable TV with free movie channels, and a refrigerator and coffee maker in each room. We are within just two minutes of walking distance from a number of restaurants in the area - everything from casual to fine dining - though if you plan on creating your own home-cooked meals, we have fully equipped kitchen suites just for you. There are also barbecue facilities located in our lush courtyard, where you can lay back in the sun or relax under the shade of the maple trees while listening to birds chirping away cheerfully. Most of our rooms are pet-friendly, as long as you have non-shedding/non-allergenic pets! Rattlesnake Canyon Amusement Park is less than 3 km away, and the Osoyoos Golf & Country Club is a 5 minute drive from the motel. We don't have much of a lake-view of Osoyoos Lake from our balcony suites, although we do have good views of Peanut Lake which is quite close to the motel. ... more   less
