My credit card was compromised at this hotel. I know this because this was the first time I had shown it in months. Even though we payed with debit the clerk insisted on taking an imprint for incidentals. 3 days later a number of mysterious charges , all from local merchants appeared on the card. These were all online purchases.
Hotel directed us to a different site to make reservations and payment. Upon arrival we needed to show multiple IDs and credit cards. After an embarrassing FaceTime call trying to get accommodations for my son’s birthday. We were finally given a key. He did not work at the room we were sent to. Turns out they put us into a room or somebody already was sleeping.
Room looked like a typical 3 star hotel until further inspection. The shower was covered in hair and the tiles were turning brown. The bed was fine, but we could hear everything through our door. It got to the point where I thought people were trying to get into our room anytime I heard a noise. There was no secondary lock on the door which added to the fears. The location was great and staff was fine, but I was charged twice for my room, which I need to get dealt with. Will only go back if it’s convenient
Chose this hotel because of the location, steps away from Translink Bus Exchange, and the seabus. Being located right in the Quay was delightful, close to shops, restaurants right in the Quay and many within minutes walking distance, also a full grocery store just across the street. Pleasant view of the harbor. Unexpectedly had to extend my stay for 4 extra days, and the management was very helpful and friendly. Fridge, coffee maker, and microwave in the room were very helpful, as my stay ended up being for 16 days. Very clean. Bathroom somewhat dated but everything I needed. Comfortable bed with lots of pillows. Wifi sometimes cut out, and I would need to reconnect. That could be a problem if using hotel wifi for work or meetings. Overall, very happy, and plan to stay again. I did not have a car; parking could be an issue. Public transit handy and efficient from this location.…
We had a wonderful time with the family. The service staff is very polite and pleasant. Breakfast is always fresh and delicious, rooms are clean. In the cafe we were greeted by a very nice young lady, who attended to every request efficiently and with a smile. We will definitely be back. 💚
The front desk service from Abhillash was excellent! I was initially allocated a room with a car park view and after asking if he could please give me a room with a view, he gave me this - see photo. A real treat as I don't get away very often!! Thank you for the excellent customer service 😊
Friendly and professional service. The floor to ceiling window provides a fantastic view and makes the room feel ampler than what it already is. Simple and minimalist room, yet cozy and comfortable. Bathroom is decent size and very clean. Close to many good restaurants. $28 for parking is quite accessible in Vancouver. My new best place to stay in North Van
My husband booked a room for my out of town guest on a business trip. When we got to the hotel, the room was super cold, hence there is no central heating. There is an electric fan that you have to turn on yourself which wasn’t working properly either, it was blowing warm air, and that would have taken hours for the room to get to the proper temperature. After an exhausting day our guest wanted to just go to bed, but had to wait long for the room to get warm. We complaint to front desk, and they offered similar room with a similar scenario. Being extremely embarrassed by this hotel in front of our guest we took her to the hotel down the street which was the day and night different. Next day I made my husband to contact the manager for the refund on the room that was never used due circumstances and was turned down. Despite my husband disagreement to write this review, I believe this is the sole point of reviews to inform other of your experience. This place It’s a hostel and charges premium as a 4 or 5 star hotel but it’s a one star Motel at best. There is no front entrance. You have to park at a public market and take super old smelly elevator to the a 3rd floor. Everything is old and smelly. Do yourself a favor and walk 3 minutes to a proper hotel down the street and pay even less price. With actual hotel professionalism.…
This hotel was generally quiet, clean and comfortable, HOWEVER our stay was significantly marred by the terrible smell of cigarette smoke in our room and most especially the bathroom. Staff acknowledged that a patron had smoked in the room a few days previously but despite repeatedly reporting our displeasure with the situation nothing was offered to us to improve our situation ( other than spraying air freshener which did absolutely nothing to help). I was promised that the manager would contact me either but it has been 2 days and I have had no call or email or any other form of communication. I would have been willing to give this hotel the benefit of the doubt and stay there again IF they had made even a nominal attempt to make it up to us. Since that was not the case I will likely never stay there again and I will discourage others from staying at this hotel.…
Worst hotel stay in a long time. Which is a shame as I stayed here last year which was totally different experience so not sure if there is a management change. You have a balancing act of fridge, microwave, coffee machine. For the coffee you choose the lowest level (8) which over fills the cups provided, scolded myself! Breakfast is a joke as are the staff (sorry, but not sorry) just awful. Stale bread, cold eggs and pancakes, didn’t even touch the salami and cheese, or anything else for that matter. Waited 15 mins for a coffee, while watching everyone who arrived afterwards get there’s. Went to the counter twice to ask where it was. $15 per adult for garbage. Won’t be here again!
