The room was so clean and well kept, it felt like we were the first people to stay in it. Daily maid service, plenty of towels by the pool, and every time I went past the front desk there were 1-3 people helping customers. The hotel just feels well run and welcoming. We used the pool 3 days in a row. It was cool the first day, but perfect the second two days. As it says on the website, no hot tub. Our room had a little kitchenette: microwave, fridge, Keurig, and two burners. Handy for preparing snacks and a light breakfast. No pots or pans and only disposable plates, bowls, and cutlery. They may have something to borrow at the desk, but consider bringing what you need if you are really going to cook. Had dinner and drinks at the on-site pub one night. Good service and convenient.

This hotel is a good option for those looking for accomodation that's a bit more reasonably priced than what's available in Vancouver proper, at the expense of needing a car to get around. The hotel itself was comfortable and clean with ample parking. It would have been nice to have breakfast included for the crazy price we paid (despite being a bit further afield), but unfortunately that was pretty common on our trip. The adjoining restaurant, "Medley's", was very average. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend.

We stayed here because of it's closeness to family in North Vancouver. It was really well positioned to avoid the busiest of the traffic and very close to Highway 1 for arrival and departure.
The room was clean, large and quiet - perfect.
We ate a couple of times in the adjoining pub. On the Saturday night we moved into the hotel bar when the live music in the pub got too loud - I can't remember the name of the hotel bar but it was really pleasant too.
There is a fitness area but we did not get the chance to use it.

I reserved asking explicitly for a room away from noise of all kinds. The two rooms offered were not that. When I asked for another room, the front desk clerk was abrupt, unfriendly, and nearly rude. The hotel was booked up, I needed to take what I got and like it. This despite other apparently single guests checking in after me and getting rooms.

Holiday Inn's "Hospitality Promise," prominently displayed in their rooms, states: "Making your stay a complete success is our goal. Just let our Manage on Duty **or front desk staff** know if any part of your stay isn't satisfactory. We promise to make it right or you won't pay for that part of your stay." My stay was quite unsatisfactory and not only because nothing was done to address the situation, but also because I got near rudeness from the desk staff.

The hotel and its room furnishings are quite dated: the air conditioner rattled all night, the furniture is aged. The bathroom was ill-lit. North and West Vancouver are pricey, but this was overpriced for what is offered.

Won't ever stay again where the real policy apparently is "take it, like it - and pay for it."

Stayed here for three nights and then another night the week after. Easy check in, room was clean and ready for us. We asked the front desk for multiple odds and ends and they had no issues with helping us. It is right off the highway so it is easy to get to the Vancouver side, to Horseshoe Bay/Whistler, or east towards Abbotsford. The rooms were quiet even being close to the highway. Free parking as well. There are a couple of restaurants on the same site so that is convenient for many people. Would stay here again when in the Vancouver area.

Worst customer service I have ever experienced. We booked a hotel room here at 5am in the morning as there was a fire in the accommodation we were originally staying in. We had to leave all our belongings in the original accommodation so we arrived at the Holiday Inn with no shoes and limited clothing. When I called and made the reservation I explained the situation to the representative on the phone and was told we would be able to checkin on arrival. After arriving at the hotel around 5am in the morning we were told that we would have to wait until atleast noon that day to checkin to our room. We asked for a blanket as we had no warm clothing and were freezing and were told that this was not something the hotel can provide to us. This is the worst hotel experience I have ever had and am so disappointed in the lack of humility in an already terrible and frightening situation.

This Holiday Inn was much better than I anticipated with a warm welcoming staff and a resort type feel. It’s easy to get to but when entering the driveway you are immediately surrounded by trees and even a waterfall at the front entrance. The desk agent was outstanding and worked to get our two rooms very close to each other. When asked about places nearby for dinner, she took the time to explain there was an area called Lonsdale Quay which is about a 10 minute drive down by the water. We ate at an amazing restaurant there called Joey’s Shipyard! The hotel facility itself is in good shape with on-site restaurant and bar. We would certainly stay here again without question.

I was on a vacation with my wife in September of 2022. We decided to stay 10 days in Vancouver and had pre-booked the hotel ahead of the arrival. I even had paid for it before arriving in Vancouver. When I arrived I contacted the hotel to see if there is any shuttle service to take me to the hotel, Holiday Inn, North Vancouver. I was greeted by an obnoxious man by the name of Aneez. Not only he told me that I don't have any reservations, he had also mentioned that the entire hotel is booked and that they have no rooms available. Remember, I was on a 5 hour flight, restless, and now no reservations despite that fact that IHG had already securely my room and taken the payment out. I told Mr. Aneez on the phone that I have no other reservations and that I will be calling IHG to complain since I was a IHG remember. Mr. Aneez said that he doesn't care what I had to do and that there are no rooms available. Once I called IHG, they had promised that the room should be available to me and that I should make my way to the hotel and demand that my room be restored. Once I made my way to the hotel and again was confronted by the obnoxious Aneez at front desk just to hear the same story that there are no rooms available. This obnoxious man did not make effort to accompany me and just asked me to call around to other Holiday Inns in the area. While I was doing that and was completely upset, I saw that Aneez treats other guests in the hotel in the same manner, very obnoxious and with an attitude. This man, "Aneez" should not be in the hospitality business altogether. Throughout my encounter with him at the front desk he kept telling me that "today is not his day". My question is when you are in the hospitality business, you can not treat people and guests with an attitude and if today is not your day, you should not be at work altogether. I am very disappointed with the experience I had at Holiday Inn, North Vancouver. Stay AWAY from this hotel as long as ANEEZ is there.

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. There were major roadworks close by which did cause a little confusion when arriving at the hotel, but we were not disturbed by the noise. A good size room with a useful kitchenette if you don’t feel like eating out. There is a Real Canadian Superstore across the street.

The on-site restaurant and bar were average. Overpriced and the service wasn’t very attentive.

The hotel was a mid stop for us whilst we were travelling, so a good opportunity to do our laundry. However it seems we chose to do our laundry peak time, which meant we had to wait around a while to get a free machine.

Overall this is an okay hotel, a little dated but clean and tidy.

Don’t let the brand name discourage you. This brand is usually associated with economy. This property adds quite a bit of elegance to the brand. It’s really beautiful! This is a hotel that is not only affordable, but really enjoyable as a spot to “hang out”. The generous lobby and associated cafe are great amenities. It was difficult to choose between the side closest to the busy street or the adjacent hillside. This is one of the rare structures that allow you to open the window. That one little feature brings the lovely day indoors. The street side does give you a lovely view, but the fountain outside and the manufactured waterfall are lovely sleep aides. We were quite pleased with our hillside selection, even though we didn’t get the expansive view. Stay here, but let’s keep this little gem as our little secret.

It is around 8 miles or so to Stanley Park. Vancouver is kind of spread out. If downtown was my main area and I wanted to use buses I would probably find somewhere closer. I rented a car and it was still probably 15 to 20 minutes. Public transportation would probably be 45 minutes or so. If you get on google maps and enter the Holiday Inn and then your destination it will show you the exact route public transportation would take and how long. Have Fun!

Unfortunately, we do not have a hotel shuttle. The fastest way to get from the airport to the Hotel is taxi cost approx. $60 cdn. To take a cab to the cruise ship terminal downtown will run about $ 30-$35 cdn depending on traffice.
