I got a FREE upgrade of the size of the bed I originally booked and that was a good start of my stay. The front desk people are very nice as well and helped me out with everything including transit informations. Overall stay is great! Thank you everyone. -Cornelia

They are very accommodating for a long term guest like me. All their staffs are excellent and clean surroundings. My overall stay were great. I will for sure come back again. I recommend this hotel to other travellers.👍
I stayed a couple of nights with my family. Great location and very nice front desk that help us alot during our stay. The breakfast was okay and the courtyard was amazing too. The room is a bit crowded for the 4 of us but it was nice and clean!
This is A Great Establishment Run By Professionals! I was left in a very delicate situation this Sunday and needed an urgent fax sent to the hospital for a brain surgery patient. Everywhere I tried was closed by 6:10 pm: Staples, Library, YMCA, UPS stores. London Drugs has no fax machine. 7-11 didn't either. I went to Sure Stay and met the elderly Chinese lady. She professed to know nothing about fax machines. This was an outright lie. Fax machines are precisely from her generation. Sadly emails are not HIPPA compliant and my letter has to go by fax. Thrice I offered to pay her and she said she had no idea how to fax. I asked if i could do it? She refused and left me with a terrible view of that outfit. I had no options and then i saw the Econo Lodge next door. The young lady at reception, Priscila, projected a professional image for her hotel. She understood the urgency noting from the title "URGENT & IMPORTANT" addressed to a hospital. She kindly facilitated this administrative task with capability and confidence. It was a small help that delivered huge assistance to a man with a critically important medical appointment in preparation for his neurosurgery. From this interaction I was able to see the world of difference between one hotel and another, located right next to one another. Hotels are service organizations. Econo-Lodge in North Vancouver delivered extra kind service, whilst the neighboring property failed miserably. I shall not forget this kindness from Ms. Priscila and her employer. Thank you. …
We arrived at this hotel just after midnight. I had read the other review of them not holding other folks reservations so we were sure to inform them of a late arrival after a long day of travel. My husband went in with our credit card and returned shortly after being told our credit card did not work. The room had been reserved with the same credit card through hotels.com and would have been billed on that card irrespective of our arrival. I subsequently went in and requested the night clerk try it again, knowing the card was functioning. At first he was very resistant saying he tried it on both machines but at my insistence tried it again and it worked perfectly fine as it has everywhere else on this trip. The room had a slight odor and was a bit older. They apparently place a security deposit on your credit card for around $150 Canadian but the furniture in the room needs refreshing. The security guard was very nice.…
We were excited for our stay that would be the first night of our trip. The price was right but in the end, the hassle made us quickly regret this booking. We arrived around 12:30 am after a lot of travel and were told our room was cancelled and there were none available. The rationale was that the credit card on file was ran through at 11:40 pm and declined (although has worked fine before and after this event). But, they therefore cancelled the room and gave it to someone else for over 100$ more than we paid. No call or email, which would have rectified the situation in one minute, as we could have asked them to try the card again or given a different card. Or at the very least, we would have found somewhere to stay closer to the airport (rather than taking a sky train and an Uber to North Vancouver) if they had notified us that the room was cancelled. I had also called 3 days before our stay informing of a late check in and the gentleman insisted it would be completely fine, he did take my name but the person at check in claimed to be unaware of this. Do not recommend booking this place unless you want to end up with your booking cancelled for reasons out of your control.…
This hotel is starting to show its age. Room had a smell to it, sort of mildew musky. Needs a complete deep clean , behind toilets. appliances, walls ceilings and furniture. Prime location for development, hope it stays operating as big money talks. Staff seems pleasant with decent coffee and juice in lobby. Parking was tight but safe. Cheers John
Our room was very clean... the frig, stove, dishes, everything. The hotel staff (especially Ann at the front desk) was very helpful. Parking is right at the door. Due to Covid-19 protocols there was no breakfast (but there was coffee), the garbage & dirty linens were left outside our door to be picked up by staff an hour or so later, newspaper at the front desk if you're early enough. The hotel has an ideal location and is just a short distance from downtown -- just 10 mins from the hotel over Lion's Gate Bridge in non-rush-hour.
The hotel was easy to get to and the room was large and comfortable. It’s right off the hwy so easy to get to. You need a car to get around. Lots of parking. I was upstairs and I could hear people outside so that was a bit annoying otherwise a great stay.
