Stayed here for a week while visiting the North Shore to ski. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and attentive. Conveniently located for buses to Lonsdale Quay, Downtown or Grouse Mountain. Or plenty of parking. Offered a grab & go breakfast which they brought to the room which I really enjoyed. Great value for money. Highly recommend if you are looking for a no frills place to stay.
Booked as a backup in case we missed our last ferry from horseshoe Bay. Arrived late at night after a nightmare journey from London. 24 hour receptionist very welcoming & efficient. Clean & comfortable room with everything we needed for 1 night. Parking right outside our room. The hotel provided in price a brown bag breakfast delivered to our door containing juice, fruit, cereal bars & baked goods with coffee bags for the in room machine. Location was perfect for early start to catch ferry to Bowen Island. We would definitely recommend this hotel.
Comfortable beds. Showers with proper water pressure. Conveniently located close to Highway 99 for journeys north. The breakfast to go was a great feature. Lots of parking. Prompt check in and check out.
No surprises - everything as expected. Check-in very efficient, breakfast very good, room very clean. Not the Four Seasons but you're not paying for the Four Seasons. Breakfast package was enough for lunch. No more to add. About to stop writing because not meeting the 200 character requirement.
Nice location and property slightly off the beaten path but close enough to major sites and things to do. This is a solid property with almost everything one could ask for those on a budget. Check-in was seamless with friendly and professional front desk, free parking, fast wifi, fridge, and microwave, Call the front desk in the morning for delivery of breakfast items to the room. Quick drive to Parc Royale mall and nice place to stay if going on a day trip to Whistler/Blackomb.
This was our second visit in 4 months. We walked over the Lion's Gate Bridge to Stanley Park(30 minutes). Many places to eat in the area. They have removed the pool. Breakfast is delivered in a bag(lots of stuff), but would have liked to have a sit-down in the breakfast room; darn Covid, even though we did have sit-downs in other places on this trip. Staff are very pleasant.
The staff were great at this hotel, but it feels old and dated - though the price is almost half of what you'll get elsewhere. The bathroom is clean, but cramped, the beds were lumpy and the drapes smelled very dusty. We could hear people above us and outside very late into the evening. I did not see the pool, so I can't comment on that. The brown bag breakfast is a nice touch and has lots of choice (banana, granola bar, pastries, juice box). Free parking right outside your door. This hotel has pet friendly rooms - pet rooms do not have carpet on the floors (possibly cleaner rooms for that reason). Overall, if the price is worth it to you, then stay here. Otherwise pay more and have a more comfortable stay at Lonsdale Quay or downtown. It just depends on your priorities.
This hotel is situated in a very good location where all the places you'd want to go to see in Vancouver would be nearby. Especially if you are on a budget and renting a vehicle. The rooms were decent and clean. Customer service was very good, responsive and had a sense of urgency and respect. But the complimentary breakfast was very mediocre. The breakfast packages they had consisted mostly of carb-rich foods + 1 apple + 1 banana, but no protein and very little nutrition. If you are looking for a nutritious meal to start the day, it would be better to go to a restaurant.
I have stayed at the North Vancouver Hotel 20+ times in the last year, and I have never been disappointed. For the price you pay, the value is excellent! Beds are comfortable and the rooms are clean. The free breakfast is a bonus too! The staff have always been very friendly and have answered all my questions and attended to anything for the room that I have needed. This is my go-to hotel for all stated above and you can’t beat the convenience of the location for access to many of the great areas on the North Shore, and also downtown Vancouver, as the Lion’s Gate Bridge is only a couple minutes away. Highly recommend for a comfortable and affordable place to lay your head!
I live rural and was nervous about driving & parking in the city with a pickup. This hotel is on a quieter route and had AMPLE parking. Rooms and linens were extremely clean and bed was comfortable. Room was quite sizeable too. Came with kitchenette & tub/shower. Breakfast included too as a bonus. Took a cab downtown for $15. Staff was courteous & helpful. 10/10 would recommend and plan to stay again. Can’t beat the price. Thanks for keeping it affordable!
