Excellent hosts, top service, immaculate clean rooms and what a great uninterrupted lakeland view. Evening meals and drinks at the traditional village pub just a short walk up the road. The included Full Cumbrian breakfast was fuel for the onward journey. Cannot fault it. Thank you for a great restful stay. Definitely recommended : )

My husband and I stayed for two nights to attend the Lowther Show. The accommodation is lovely, very quaint, spottlessly clean, and in lovely surroundings, with a beautiful well stocked garden. We had the Rose room which is very spacious and pretty and has a fabulous bathroom. We had everything we could wish for - tea and coffee, toiletries, generous-sized,...

My husband had stayed here twice before but this was my first experience of the B & B. The house has a lot of character, with a beautiful garden. The bedroom was lovely with an excellent shower and fine views over the fields. Sue was most accommodating. We were going to the Sharrow Bay Hotel for dinner and she acted as...

Great hosts, nothing was too much trouble. Enjoyed using the lovely lounge and watching Murry win Wimbledon on the large TV. The breakfasts were the best and the cottage was delightful, spacious, well decorated with a beautiful garden and views. There is a great pub 5 minutes walk away serving good food. Will definitely use the cottage again when in...

Stayed here for two nights having been recommended by friends. Welcome greeting by the owners (no outdoor shoe policy in the cottage - don't forget your slippers!! Property is starting to look a 'little tired' and in need of redecoration. Off road parking - but if the B&B is full can lead to problems. Access is via the garden and...

We are sorry that you did not enjoy your stay with us and that you felt some things were not as they should be. We do have a shoes off policy, as do many B&Bs and hotels in the countryside as the roads are very muddy with tractors and the horses that pass by our door, mud in the bedrooms...

An overnight stay in a lovely location. On arrival we were greeted by Suzanne and David who were extremely welcoming and helpful. Excellent breakfast greeted warmly by Suzanne and David, which was perfect to set us up for the day and drive home ( a included a vegetarian option which is often forgotten at so many b and b's).
