Beautiful location. Bedding and mattresses excellent. Great drinking water. Shabby furniture is bearable but not when it is dirty. It appeared only the bathrooms had been cleaned prior to our arrival. Floors were dirty, windows and mirrors dirty. Window screens had extra holes, and there was a large gap under the door. The kitchen was not particularly well stocked, and...

We are staying here through RCI. Bathrooms looked like they weren't ever cleaned. Front desk service almost non-existent. 20 minutes from Banff and 5 from Canmore. Dated cabins, poorly supplied kitchens, but I feel compelled to give one star for having our own cabin and one star for the views.

The view from our unit was absolutely magnificent! Also, it had everything we needed for our stay. The kitchen was well-stocked with appliances such as a blender, coffee pot, and microwave oven. Plenty of utensils. Two bedrooms, one upstairs with its own bathroom and one downstairs with a bathroom (not in-suite). Living room had a large TV. Free DVDs to...

We stayed here for a week in May and the staff working the front desk were fantastic! The cabins were cozy a little dated but that's the way a "cabin" should be. There was a great fireplace and BBQ even a jacuzzi tub. The grounds were nice and the location was good but you definitely need a car. If I...

My family and I stayed at this hotel. We were very excited as we love Canmore. Well, this hotel is a good 20 minutes from Canmore. No amenities close by. The hotel has no restraunt. The "fitness centre" consists of the oldest bowflex I have EVER seen. Not only that but the wires were snapped. The "elliptical" is a knock...

We are a group of four friends stayed here for a week. We spend most of our time in the mountains and just came back for the dinner and the night. The amenities are all very old. The location is kind of remote, about 30 min drive to Banff. The couch could have been cleaner. We don't really care about...

My husband and I came here to get away from the busy city life and this was perfect. Very spacious for two people. The chalets could use a little updating, but you get the rustic, 'camp' feel here and I didn't mind. I would come again.

This was our first trip to Canada for our family of 3. We loved the two story chalets with full kitchens, 2 baths, and our own private deck with BBQ. The chalet was very spacious and could've easily accommodated 8 people comfortably. The resort itself is pretty secluded, but just a short drive to Canmore where we enjoyed lots of...

We needed a large 2 bed 2 bath place where we could spend some quality time with adult children and enjoy some home cooked meals together. We lucked into a very good weekly rate at this resort. Previous reviews set our expectations, which most are very accurate of this facility, thank you to all who wrote. Our chalet (#45) at...

My wife and I found Banff Gate Mountain Resort through an RCI exchange. We had a two bedroom chalet with stunning views across Dead Man's Flats to the mountains on the other side of the valley. We had friends staying with us for 4 of the 7 days we were there. As the purpose of our stay was skiing, the...
