This wonderful B&B is actually across the harbour from Auckland, in Devonport. This small, quiet town is an oasis of calm, but is only 20 minutes from downdown Auckland by frequent and punctual ferries. The B&B is three easy blocks from the ferry terminal - easy walking even with luggage. Better still, it is only one-half block from the centre...

We stayed at the Peace and Plenty Inn for 2 nights when we arrived in Auckland and felt we had made a wise choice for the start of our month in New Zealand. If you want a peaceful break in a lovely location Devonport is ideal. Peace and Plenty is a lovely old property filled with antique French furniture. Our...

Peace & Plenty is a charming inn located in Devonport, a short ferry ride from the Auckland harbor. Judy, the proprietor, does a wonderful job of taking care of her guests, providing comfortable rooms filled with interesting touches and serving an excellent breakfast in the morning. She shows great sensitivity to travelers, providing privacy, yet also helping them enjoy the...

We loved Peace and Plenty Bed and Breakfast! It is a beautiful old home, outstanding gardens. Clean, elegant yet warm and welcoming. Breakfasts to die for! Judy, the owner, was so gracious to let us check in early in the day (as we had flown all night and arrived NZ at 6 AM). We had a problem with our itinerary...

After all the rave reviews I was looking forward to my two night stay at the Peace and Plenty Inn in December 2008. What a disappointment! The room was pretty but the "en-suite" was tiny - the lavatory seat was broken and there were hairs in the shower. I complained about the seat and it was adjusted but not replaced...

Dear Mrs Warnock, I was very disappointed to read your review and would like to clarify some of the comments you have made. Firstly, regarding the toilet seat. It was not broken. The screw holding the seat to the toilet had become loose. Hence why it was only adjusted and not replaced. I would also like to defend my staff....

I stayed here for 5 nights while on a business trip in Auckland. The ferry ride from the city area was a breeze, the village of Devonport is delightful, and the B&B is utterly charming in every way. My room and balcony felt like a haven (clean, airy, lovely quality bedding etc) -- breakfasts were all excellent -- and Judi...

Had a wonderful stay - we arrived in Auckland at 4 a.m., were met by a taxi arranged by Judy, and promptly delivered to the marvellous Peace and Plenty. Met by Judy at that extreme hour and offered an immediate room or simply drop bags. We opted for the latter after a long flight and preferred to walk the beach,...

Loved it, Loved it! We were very happy with our accomodations and Judi, the owner, provided us with beautiful breakfasts and was extremely helpful. She connected us with a wonderful real estate agent and gave us really good advise on relocating and also in making the most of our current trip. She is just lovely and we felt as if...

My husband and I stayed one night only - for our wedding anniversary - a night away from the kids. A most hospitable and restful place. Located in the heart of the gorgeous suburb of Devonport, right on the inner harbour of Auckland. The host was delightful, friendly and chatty but not overbearing at any point. The rooms were beautifully...
