My wife and I and a couple of friends spent the afternoon and evening at the pub with bed and breakfast included. The welcome was as friendly as you could wish for, the owner Percy, his staff and locals were great fun and made our experience even better. The dinner was amazing, a selection of local food with many a twist. The bedrooms were nice with traditional Welsh oak beds and the bathroom was modern. We are from South Wales, our friends from North Wales this pub is roughly half way and we intend to visit again in the future. Well done The Griffin Inn.

OK. If you have visited this part of Wales - I qualify this in case it's different elsewhere in Wales - you will quickly find out that getting a meal or even a drink in a pub on Monday or Tuesday is near impossible.

We stopped here for a drink a few days ago in their Covid-friendly, outside shelter. The beer was good, the service attentive and brisk.

We returned tonight (Wednesday) for dinner. I phoned to book, which they recommended, but I think we would have been fed if we hadn't. The beer was just as good - 2 pints of Butty Bach as I wasn't driving. The food was lovely; a crispy beef starter was huge!, the lasagne was awesome (though the pasta was a touch en dente), my pork escalope - actually two! - was delicious as were the fries and the cole slaw.

So 3 meals, which we all failed to finish, 4 drinks = £50. Great value, the service was great. If we're ever in this part of Wales again, we will definitely stop here - might even stay next time.

Thank you all.....

Firstly I would like to say that if there was the option I would give a 3.5 star rating because it's better average. It's a great little inn with good food and friendly service.
The room was a bit dated, but very cosy and clean with a smart tv and usb integrated wall plugs, we were most pleased with the tv as we could connect our tablet and watch movies. Bathroom looked like it had a refresh and the carpet looked new. Dogs welcome. Only offers a basic continental breakfast, some hot options would be better.
Overall would recommend and stay again.
