We loved our second-floor room (#11) because it looked out onto Ski Run Blvd (one of the main arteries of town) and the Inn's hot tub. It felt very private! And parking was plentiful. You can tell that the property used to be a motel (in its layout), but it's been renovated very nicely and modernly and the rooms have...

Loved the location, the staff was extremely friendly, and the room was cute and very clean! Our arrival was planned for the day after a major 5 day storm so I was worried they may not be open. I called to double check and Laura reassured me that everything was up and running and spent time helping me plan our...

My wife and I have stayed at several hotels in the Lake Tahoe area and the Alder Inn is our favorite, by far! The staff is friendly and helpful, the rooms are cozy and clean and the location is super convenient.

The Inn was close to some great restaurants and just a block away from the Lake front. The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The hot tub was outdoors, open year round and was a great place to relax. There is easy access to Heavenly and the owners were friendly and helpful. We will definitely recommend this Inn...

Enjoyed my stay at Alder Inn. Spacious room was very clean with comfortable bed. Décor was charming and theme oriented. Extras included, Wi-Fi, cable TV channels, guest robes, mini-fridge, complimentary k-cup pods for Keurig coffee maker. Very convenient location, just a short walk to the lakeside beach and restaurants and shops. It's located along the same road to Heavenly, so...

We stayed here for two nights during New Years! The room was very charming and the beds very comfortable! The location is wonderful! You're close enough to everything you need, ( skiing access, lake access, food!) but not too close to the hussle and bustle of Heavenly Village. There's also a bus stop within walking distance that can take you...

Really nice owners. We were privileged to use the upper deck, which had great views of the lake. Enjoyed our breakfasts out there. All was clean. Only downside was maybe a little bit of noise since we were on Ski Run Blvd, but not annoying noisy. We were there in August. We were able to bike to most anywhere we...

Stayed at the alder Inn during a week day getaway in the middle of September to visit with some family. Rooms were nicely decorated with all essentials (like a Kerig coffee maker and coffee pods) provided for. Beds were comfy and room was cozy. We took a fun boat trip tour of the lake recommended by the owners who were...

Went to South Shore to ski Heavenly. This place looks like a 1950s motor lodge from the street, and without having found it here, I would have passed it by. Very glad I didn't. The staff was cheerful and friendly and check in very fast. The room was very clean and the beds quite comfortable. The in room amenities were...

Great location on Ski Run Blvd just off the busy Tahoe Blvd. Walking distance to many family owned business and resturants. Best of all just a bike ride down Ski Run Blvd from many of the most popular mountain bike trails with a cozy bath robe waiting for you to enjoy the spacious hot tub and swimming pool. Definitely our...
