We stayed here for two nights while skiing and visiting friends. The room was very clean and spacious. We absolutely loved the location - we walked a few blocks down to the lake and were steps away from the Casinos and the base area with all the restaurants and stores. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for...

Our room was neat and clean. Bed was made and towels changed daily. Nil problems at all and staff very helpful and friendly. Close to casinos, a few places to eat, and Heavenly ski resort (which has awesome views and ++ variety of terrain) . WIFI good. We looked around other areas of Lake Tahoe to stay in person and...

We stayed 2 nights in August with extended family so took 2 rooms; we found the rooms clean and spacious, the rates were reasonable, the motel is in a quiet area but is close enough to all the amenities of Tahoe South and Stateline is that is what you are into. Would use again.

Well, we got off to a bumpy start. I had made reservations a couple weeks prior to our stay. When we arrived and tried to check-in, I was told our room was accidentally given to another group. Ouch. I had reserved a 2 queen bed room with a microwave and refrigerator since my hubby and I were traveling with 3...

Traveled with three young kids: enjoyed the spacious room, brand-new firm mattresses, closeness to the lake and the Gondola. Would enjoy even more if we had microwave and refrigerator (some rooms have them). Otherwise, would recommend to anyone.

This is a family run motel that we booked thru travelocity. We have stayed at several dumps in the area before but being the adventurous type, we want to try different ones to see for ourselves for future reference which is good and which is bad. This place is a pleasant surprise. The staff was nice and check in was...

3 of us stayed here for a ski weekend. The hotel is in a very good location close to the Heavenly gondola (walking distance without ski boots!) as well as to the Casinos. The rooms themselves are basic but suitable although our beds were pretty firm. The shower was hot and the bathroom was clean. Getting the heater to turn...

First of all I would like to say that Jen who runs the motel is just terrific. She let us changed our reservation a couple of times even thought the cancellation time was well passed. The hotel is a very nice and clean. The rooms are spacious. Location is great: right across all the Casinos. Walking distance to everything. I...

After scouring through the reviews, I chose Ambassador for its price and location. I was not disappointed. Upside 1: Convenience. It is a 5-minute walk to the casinos and Heavenly Village. The shuttles to Kirkwood, Sierra at Tahoe, and Heavenly all stop within one block. Ample food options are on the main highway. Upside 2: Cost. Even for a holiday...
