If you're looking for a "good" place to stay in Tahoe, perhaps while passing through, Apex Inn is one of the oldie Motels that offer a good bed and clean room for a very reasonable price. The night before Memorial Weekend started, our cost for a King was $55 plus tax. Apex Inn is before the "Y" coming in from...

We were glad to return to stay at the Apex Inn again, for an off-season getaway to Tahoe. This time we were given one of the few second floor rooms toward the back of the motel. It seemed to me the bed was a little bigger, and again we found everything to be spotlessly clean and comfortable. We have stayed...

My friend from the UK made a reservation to this inn for three nights. When we arrived the person in the front desk who first claimed he is the owner then later on before checking out said he is just the manager, convinced my friend to cancel her reservation through booking.com because he said booking.com's commission is so high and...

Loved the location-- right across the street from Bert's Cafe, our favorite breakfast stop. We stayed just one night, on a fall- colors drive through the Sierras. It was great to stay away from the Stateline madness-- very quiet and safe. The room was on the small side, but we didn't really require a lot of space. The fridge kept...

I stayed at the Apex September 6th and 7th with check out the morning of the 8th in room 105. The room was indeed very small, but I was travelling alone and it was perfect for me. The room has a mini fridge, microwave, two side tables, a dresser, a computer desk and a small open "closet" area to hang...

Just had the opportunity to head to Tahoe for a casual short stay. The Apex Inn had everything needed to make the trip easy and comfortable. The rooms are small, but for one-two people it was perfect. Very comfortable bed, very very clean, and with a coffee maker, microwave, refrigerator and hair dryer- it was perfect. The rate for weekday...

Stayed here four nights recently. There were two of us on a business trip. The room was clean, but very small. I have stayed in more spacious rooms in monasteries. Except for the free WiFi and flat screen TV with good cable reception, it was a lot like staying in a monastery and almost as quiet. The shower was so...

The best thing this motel has going for it is the location: right on Rt 50/89 on the south edge of town, away from the mob scene that is Lake Tahoe Blvd. There are 3 restaurants (breakfast, pizza, and Italian) within walking distance. Less than a mile down the road at the "fork" is Raley's, KMart, Starbuck's, and CVS for...

Pros: clean, conveniently located and overall pretty well maintained. Cons: expensive, tiny rooms and even tinier bathrooms We had a pretty big group and while this hotel was pretty convenient, it was very expensive. I would look into renting a cabin or condo if staying in the area longer than 1 night.

I was in the Tahoe area for one night and needed a place to stay that was not going to break the bank. I was pleasantly surprised with this small classic motel located on us 50. It was very clean and well maintained, the downsize would be the fact the rooms were small, but that certainly was not a great...

“Typical L-shaped, two-story older Motel. A bit set back from Hwy.50. Road noise was not a problem that night. Could ask for "furthest from Hwy." if sensitive to road noises.”

“Its a quiet part of town, and none of them have views, so the only rooms you need to avoid are the three that have rooms above them.”
