Aside from the decor, which has a wonderful hipster vibe, there's not a whole lot beyond this motel's location to recommend. Prices are 50-100% more than other motels just next door, and the amenities aren't much better. The complimentary breakfast is all carbs (toast, cereal, waffles), and the hot tubs are hit-or-miss whether they'll be running. There's also not a...

Awesome location and within walking distance of casinos, restaurants, grocery store, shops and the gondola (if open). The rooms do not have microwaves or refrigerators but if there's snow, you can put your food/alcohol on the patio.

Trendy boutique hotel with excellent customer service. Staff went above and beyond to make us feel at home and ensure our stay was perfect. Decor showed great attention to detail. There is a sort of magical atmosphere at this hotel, didn't want to leave.

Basecamp is one of the recommended place to stay in lake Tahoe, its comfortable & convenient. Staffs are good, rooms are clean, beds are very comfortable. Location is very convenient too. Parking maybe limited if the rooms are fully occupied.

I cannot recommend Basecamp to anyone. My fiancé and I stayed for two nights (room 109). We intended to stay only one before moving on to the basecamp in Tahoe City, but weather changed our plans. The first night was not ideal - the heater gave out in the middle of the night and we woke up to a freezing...

Anthony Z, Thank you for taking the time to call me at the hotel to express your concerns on your stay in room 109. I know how much of a surprise it can be when charges are assessed to your account for damages. Due to the condition, you left your room in and with damages during Snow Globe I am...

We wanted to take our toddler to see snow for the first time after Christmas, and Basecamp was an excellent, affordable option - at least for the location and the time of year. Our standard room wasn't tiny, but it wasn't spacious either - it was what you'd expect for a motel room. Where this hotel shines are a few...

Really loved staying here. It's mostly about the experience rather than amenities. The fire pits are great. There are a couple of them on different roofs at the hotel as well as several in the beer garden. They even sell smore kits at the front desk. There are a couple of hot tubs on site one of which is huge....

This hotel really makes you feel like you're in a modern cabin. The best thing is that it is really close to the stateline so everything is in walking distance. The only thing I would say is the complimentary breakfast was not great but everything else was.

Pros: Great location right next to Heavenly and along busy section of 50, with loads of restaurants, bars and shops. Super friendly and helpful staff. Hip, stylish hotel, but not too hip that it's painful ;). 2 outdoor hot tubs, outdoor fire pits, good complementary breakfast; fun, collegial beer garden with games, fireplace, sometimes live music. Rooms were clean and...
