My mother and I stayed here for a short 4 day vacation in November. This motel has been updated and is within walking distance to many restaurants. The bed was heavenly and the sheets were very soft and comfy. The staff went out of their...More
This is not a luxury hotel, but it was very comfortable and located right at the state line and across from the Heavenly skin resort. Perfect for winter or summer. We were originally assigned to a very small 1 bedroom suite (comet) and then when...More

Ask at the front desk for passes. Then check out bikes/locks and beach towels to head down to the lake. (We often pick up sandwiches at Raleys or Subway to take, though there is a small restaurant on the beach right off the entrance.) The bike ride to the beach is safe, pleasant and easy. Heading back to the Stardust is a little more of a workout! You can also opt to head to the busier beachfront area down the street. This is where you'll find restaurants, shopping and activities like parasailing. Again it's an easy bike ride there and a little more taxing heading back. Do enjoy the beaches while you're there!
