In short: we loved it. We did not come with that high expectations due to several review and past YTL experiences but this place blew all negativeness into oblivion. The staff are extremely thoughtful and you can tell how serious they are in trying to make your stay a pleasant one, albeit their watchful eyes on you as you have your breakfast. However, they are not intrusive, at all. We loved every detail of the room which had comfort and peace ingrained.
No mosquitoes, good temperature control and the loveliest marble floors
This place does not allow children, majority of guest here come for the peace of it and are well behaving and quiet. We joined the Jamu making session and every Yoga session with Stephanie Wieck, there were only a few guest joining so one could feel like it was a private session almost.
The best thing though.. were the meals. The chef was absolutely in tune with local ingredients and flavouring. Never was a dish too sweet or too stodgy. Portions were small comparatively to restaurants but there were multiple courses to enjoy. We brought snacks but ended up not eating them. There was nothing to complain about the meals in our opinion.
Too bad it was rainy season, that we didn’t get to enjoy the hike to mt Batur nor the sunset cruise. But we did get to go for snorkeling at Amed. Mind you this comes with extra cost, best bring ur own snorkeling gear, and prepare some cash at hand, luckily we did bring, because we were expected to pay/tip at several locations
In all, this is one of the best place to relax, respect and appreciate the nature in Bali they give you all the facilities for it luxury style.

We stayed here for 7 nights after having been at the Alila Ubud for 7 nights.

Our first trip away in almost 3 years and we certainly picked a beautiful second hotel!
This hotel was a few hours further away from the airport after our stay in the heart of Bali in Ubud and on the coast the different scenery, flora and fauna was quite a change in such a small island.
After our journey we were welcomed with a revitalising foot massage and cooling towel before being shown to our first floor suite (well worth the upgrade for a longer stay). Beautifully appointed and laid out we truly felt in paradise with a lovely view of the grounds and sea beyond.
Once again the staff made this stay truly memorable and were willing to go above and beyond. A nice touch at the hotel was the inclusion of a daily spa treatment which, as we were there for 7 days, meant we were thoroughly spoiled.
Each day there was also a local craft/tradition demonstration which we found really interesting, especially the traditional face scrub!
Again the food was amazing and it was nice to see an emphasis on local cuisine that the staff were fully conversant with and could make recommendations. The free tea and coffee around the pool were again a nice touch, something small but appreciated.
Beautiful pool location overlooking the ocean under swaying coconut palms, idyllic.
Sea wasn't really suitable for swimming most days due to waves/currents but we did get to snorkel a little bit.
Once again the hotel was only just getting going again post-pandemic so on some days we almost had the place to ourselves but everything was available despite the lack of guests.
A truly fantastic experience which we will not forget in a long time!
In short, Bali is a fantastic place and one of the few places that I would consider moving to, only choice would be coastal or rainforest!

My friend and I stayed here for a week. We booked via a Luxury Escapes package, and were blown away by the value. We had an amazing experience - high quality and rejuvenating in every way. If you are seeking a place to truly relax and unwind in luxury and peace, this is absolutely it. We enjoyed spa treatments every day, beautiful chef prepared meals three times a day, gorgeous pool and outlook onto the sea, a visit to the nearby Les waterfalls, snorkelling and observing wildlife in the black sand beach, classes, cultural performances, and many other fantastic offerings. One day we went into Ubud for a day - it was SO nice to return to the peace and luxury of the resort at the end of the busy day and be away from all the other tourists! I need to especially highlight and thank all the resort staff - every single staff member is incredibly lovely and does everything within their power to make your stay an absolute joy in every way. Thank you all for your upmost hospitality and service. We have no criticisms whatsoever and I cannot recommend the resort more highly to anyone looking for a truly relaxing and five star experience in Bali.

We booked via the related Hyatt website two rooms for three nights and were not aware that this hotel is adults only. Beside that the reservation was not in their system.
The hotel management explained that they can not take us as guests and acted very professional in advising other hotels in their area. We also got some Hyatt point credit and at the end they were very professional to get rid of us.
Make sure you have no kids and double check the reservation with this hotel .... then I am sure it will be a wonderful stay.

This was truly a space to reconnect and find myself. Tge spa treatments were truly autentic fresh from the garden and no chemicals from bottles . Even the facial was garden fresh and i felt the results.

Food could improve to match the wellness theme with some gluten free options but it was fresh and delicious all the time anyway

This was our fourth stay at Spa Village Resort ( after a gap of two years due to COVID) and we were not disappointed.
Many of the staff were the same which felt as if we were coming home!
We had a lovely welcome from everyone and the staff go that extra mile to make sure you have a wonderful time.
If you want to unwind in a peaceful and stress free environment then this hotel is for you. The tranquility is amazing!
Daily treatments also help your body to relax as do the free Yoga sessions on the lawn.
There is no loud music in the resort and the two evening entertainments were of Balinese dancing. The costumes were spectacular.
The food is plentiful and delicious. The chef is always on hand to help with any dietary requirements and is easy to talk to.
We did our usual Sunset Cruise and were lucky enough to see a pod of whales. It was an amazing experience and all with a beautiful sunset!
Normally we stay for a week, but this time we booked for nine nights which was a perfect length of time. We will definitely do the same next time.
We particularly love this hotel for the friendly atmosphere, comfortable rooms ( all with a view of the ocean) , great food and above all, a sense of calm.
It is a long way to travel from the UK but it is totally worth it! Even the transfer from the airport gives you an insight into rural Bali which is fascinating.
We would like to thank all the staff for making our stay so enjoyable.

The kindness of the staff, reminds you of the kindness of strangers. This resort brings beauty, serenity and joy in one package.
I had never had massages and did not understand the happiness that being kind to yourself can bring. I smiled my way through the two weeks we spent being looked after by the kindest people I have ever met. Nothing was too much trouble. Every one of the staff went an extra mile. YTL should be congratulated for bringing together the people of the local village as the staff. I mentioned I had some water in my ear to Kikut who was the masseuse with magic hands, and when I got back to my room the telephone rang. The wonderful manager of the spa had arranged for me to be taken to the clinic to deal with it. I didn’t ask for help I had merely mentioned the discomfort.
The experience of the much wilder coast of Bali in the north was a revelation. Mohammed in the kitchen and his lovely kitchen staff served up whatever you wanted.
The small classes teaching you to make body scrub and health drinks were an inspiration.
If you wish the best wellness holiday, which will restore your faith in human nature, The Village Spa Tembok is the place to go.
My thanks to them all we will be back.
Massages and wraps, good food, intimate cooking classes. Meditation on a float at night, trekking, yoga , meditation at dawn all things I would have scoffed at , made me supremely happy. The cons absolutely none.

If you are looking for a resort away from the hustle and bustle of city life, look no further! My hubby and I decided to visit this resort to celebrate our 23rd anniversary at the last minute because we were still not very sure if we should travel on our own, leaving our three children behind in Singapore. We have no regrets the minute we step into the resort. From the welcome foot bath, beautiful and tranquil environment to the amazing and most rejuvenating spa experiences, it is the most ideal getaway for a couple retreat. We are greeted by friendly helpful staff everyday, looking after our daily needs. Healthy delicious meals specially curated by the chef from their garden and local produce to plate. We were too busy indulging our senses to take photos 😆 We were deeply touched when we were given two hard boiled eggs as a gesture to bless our safe return in two beautifully woven mini carriers when the staff and management of the resort bid us farewell. These are some of the little touches that bring a smile upon our faces. Thank you for making our stay a beautiful memory etched in our hearts.

Excellent, Excellent, very satisfying! I want to stay here forever hahahah! Driving 3 hours from Denpasar to this resort was quite tiring, on the way I imagined that when I arrived at the resort I would immediately go to sleep, but in fact I didn't hahah! Arriving one step at the resort, I was immediately greeted by very friendly staff who showed me all the things I had, after that I was served a welcome drink with a welcome ritual, my feet were cleaned and my back was massaged, there is no other resort I have encountered like this resort, it was very unexpected ! After arriving at the room, the receptionist called "What time do you want a massage today, sir?" Tomorrow ? “ OMG it turns out every guest at this resort will get a massage every day! really a very satisfying package! Apart from that, there are lots of activities that we can enjoy at this resort, such as yoga, gym, etc. I forgot there are so many and they are all free! the food is also very delicious, and the most impressive thing is that the staff at this resort are very friendly and always smiling, also the GM of this resort is also very friendly to the guests, I hope this resort becomes the best resort choice in Bali, you have to come here!

The activity that you can do in the evening is starlight gazing which you lay weightless on a floating platform accompanied by meditative music under sea of stars. Thank you and kindly let me know if you need further information about our resort.
