We visited the Barn on Woodhouse Farm Caravan Site for a meal a week ago as the restaurant had undergone a total refurbishment. We were most impressed with the improvements and found it an ideal place to pop to for a drink or a meal. The food was excellent, freshly cooked and delicious! The service was friendly and efficient and...

Stayed here for 2 nights in a pod and had a fantastic weekend. There are 8 pods set in a lovely woodland area which included a picnic bench and large barbecue. There were 14 of us altogether (7 adults, 7 children) so we had 4 of the pods. Between us we also took a firepit, fridge, picnic table, music and...

We stayed in one of the safari Glamping tents for two nights. Warm ,cosy. Well equipped. Hosts very helpful. Full kitchen and comfy beds. Used hot tub and pizza oven. Peaceful apart from our neighbours in the other safari tent who didn't abide by the 'no noise after 11 pm' rule. It would be hard without electricity for more than...

Do not normally camp close to home but went for a meet with other members of a camping group and we were pleasantly surprised with this site. The shower/toilet blocks were clean despite the numbers using them. Has a bar/restaurant which we did not use ourselves but it was very popular so I would say it was good. Our pitch...

If you want a proper site, not a Haven type site that is well run, feels secluded but not far from civilisation this is the place. Scenery is amazing. Layout is amazing. Kids feel safe and have loads to do. There is a pub on site and food is really good. The owner is a star and her son works...

Visited for a weekend with freinds and family. Good clean facilitys. Nice pub onsite and a nice walk around a little lake was a bonus very close to ripon. We found it a bit hard to find but when we arrived we were greeted politely and within 5 mins we were at our plot.

The Dell & The Hilside were the best pitches, perhaps Jubilee Crescent if you prefer it a bit quieter, the former two seemed to have seasonals so didnt seem to be available for weekenders, The Paddocks have a huge central Areas, where ball games were taking place on regular occasions. The Top Paddock was the least generous in terms of...
