From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, Maggie was the prefect hostess. Guests can be assured of a very warm welcome from Maggie and the girls and ladies who help her, are equally as delightful. Our room was a lovely spacious ground floor room in the old Cart house, adjacent to the house with open views over... More

Looking for accommodation to break a journey I found Mallard Grange. So pleased I did. Maggie was amazing and extremely accommodating and the omelette I had for my breakfast was the best I've had. All produce local and particularly loved the eggs from their own hens and Maggie's honey. The beds are extremely comfortable (take that from a frequent hotel... More

Readers will have read many fantastic views about Mallard Grange, and I am delighted to add another here. A quirky farmhouse, just a few miles away from Ripon, a very comfy room with lots of extra little touches (fresh milk for coffee, little treats like homemade shortbread or flapjack, lovely large, soft towels) BUT the icing on the cake is... We had a thoroughly enjoyable couple of days at Mallard Grange Farm. It has the attraction - to us - of being a working farm with family members coming and going. The standard of comfort in the room is high ( we were even asked if we wanted blankets or duvet.. never been asked that at a B& B before!)... More

Was greeted by Maggie, a lovely welcoming host. The room was beautiful, including lovely thick towels, fresh flapjack and shortbread in the room and even little chocolates! Comfiest bed I have ever slept in. Lovely view of the cows out of the window too. The breakfast was AMAZING, honey from Maggies bees was truly gorgeous. Cannot recommend this place enough.... More

Stayed with in a room separate to the main building. Beautifully prepared with modern touches though keeping within a traditional approach. Warm and friendly welcome from Maggie who was more than helpful about where to eat in town. Breakfast the next day was wonderful with so many freshly prepared choices.

Very pleased you liked your en suite room in the Old Blacksmith's Shop and Carthouse and particularly enjoyed our hospitality and choices on our breakfast menu. We are blessed with some wonderful local suppliers and of course our hens and bees do their bit as well! Every good wish Maggie and Team. More

Everything you could hope for in a farmhouse B&B. Very friendly welcome by Maggie who makes you feel at home from the minute you cross her threshold. Very comfortable room with many personal touches. Great breakfast around a large table with other guest - lots of local produce. Would definitely return.

We stayed two nights at Mallard Grange on our way back to Wales from a holiday in Scotland. Our room was great - private, decorated in a traditional style but with a bang up-to-date bathroom. The room was serviced each morning, and the staff were professional and courteous. The B&B is part of a working farm, and it was lovely... More
