We visited hideout as a group of 5 recently post lockdown and luckily we were the only guests at the farmstay.
Hideout is a beautiful property tucked in corners of Palghar. Booking process was quite smooth with Aditya.
Hemant greeted us at the farm with warmth, showed us around, had long conversations with us and taught us a lil farming ;)

Space: The property is huge with multiple rooms and a pretty common area. The rooms are minimal but tastefully done. They are open from one wall side and it feels you are in a forest waking up to the sounds of trees and animals.

Food: amazing food prepared by the team which is mostly vegan. Coffee lovers: fret not. They help you with milk coffee as well if you can't avoid it.

Just a caution, we had insects, lizards, rats in our room and spotted a small snake outside in the common area. So if you are scared of animals and are looking for luxury, this place isn't for you.
For everyone else, go and enjoy your stay at Hide- out. It's totally worth it😊

Hemantbhai has passionately invested his heart and soul to this beautiful farm from almost the last 30 years. As soon as you enter you will feel that this is not planned but organically developed farm stay. Authentic Hemantbhai, affectionate Sangitaji, enthusiastic Aditya and adorable Aayana are one with the nature. Food is awesome and you will yearn to stay in the impressively designed huts and walk around the forest.
Will visit definitely hide out again and again and again...

We had an amazing two-night stay at Hide Out, an organic farm stay near Mumbai, to celebrate our child's second birthday. The rustic yet comfortable accommodation, delicious organic food, and warm hospitality made our visit truly special. Our kid loved interacting with the farm animals and exploring the farm. The owners, the father-son duo Hemant and Aditya, went above and beyond to make our celebration memorable. Highly recommend Hide Out for a peaceful, family-friendly getaway!

We had a wonderful experience at Hide out organic farm.It is blissful place with beautiful and calm ambience. The owners Hemant and Sangeeta with family have created their own paradise and their hospitality is just great. They have a beautiful open kitchen and food is pure vegetarian made with taste on chulha and with hygiene and served with love. The energies around feel soul cleansing. It is a place where you connect with your innerself and get an insight.Their neuro therapy is a must.We get ourselves with a lifestyle that we have forgotten being in hussels of city life.Go and find yourself there. Waiting to visit again.

What was hot: Hideout is pretty, no doubt.Lovely mud houses with artistic furniture nestled amid vast greens are quite a pleasant surprise in a place far far away from the crowd of Mumbai. There is a homely atmosphere and the ambiance gives a tired traveller enough to muse about. On that front, we were fully satisfied.

What was not: Considering we paid a steep 10,500 for a 1 and a half day stay for three people, the place fell short of what it had promised. The first day's lunch and dinner were enjoyable, but to our discomfort, the next day;s breakfast just had one dish. What upset us more was that for the lunch we were really looking forward to - we were served stale food from last night.. 5 out of 6 dishes served to us were from last night's dinner.
While the couple is very warm and hospitable, I guess somewhere they neglected the fact that by charging us a huge amount they are now part of the service industry - and such things are a great put off.
We all work very hard and take such breaks - leftovers is the last thing we were looking forward to.
Pretty place, lovely people, but surely need to be a bit more sensitive to the traveller.

Dear Guests, It was a pleasure to have you at hideout . We are delighted to know that you loved the ambiance & homely atmosphere.....That s what hideout is all about!. Our apologies for serving left over food along with freshly cooked afternoon meal We wish to refund the amount for the lunch and will get in touch for the same. The mud house being built along ecological lines gives the guest the opportunity to enjoy nature,at the same time feel the comfort of being indoors. The master bedroom's eastern window opens onto the orchard where you can listen to the symphony of birds early in the morning. Whereas the inside bed room along with the open window, has two huge arch windows for better ventilation. We recommend the brick house as an ideal option for first timers. We truly appreciate your valuable feedback as it will help us to serve our guests better in future . warm regards Hemant Chhabra

A couple of friends and I visited Hideout last week. I've been to various farms in my travels but what really made my trip meaningful was seeing a city bred family actually live a life close to nature. Just meditating in the large rooms by the laughing trees helped me immerse in nature
The family is so connected and open that conversation flowered naturally and i felt a deep sense of calm just soaking in hideout!

We 5 friends stayed in Bamboo House in June 16. The rooms are ok type. Beds and bedding were very clean. We could not do a single activity other than sleeping / sitting in the room as there was nothing to explore in their farm. One can visit the nearby dam.

We had very very bad experience about food. The food prepared by them was very tasteless. Guests don't get food as per their own choice. We have to eat what they prepare and in what style they make. Only 2-3 items for lunch / dinner (Rice Bhakri, 1 curry subji, daal and rice and cut onions and only 1 desert - Aamras once in 3 meals) They even skipped our evening snacks (Bhel - that's what Sangeeta informed me while booking) saying us to have special 'Dalwada' while returning from dam. We had it at our own cost.

They don't serve tea / coffee as mentioned on website. However, we were shocked to know the reason. Their daughter has allergy to milk products and to keep her away from milk products, they don't serve tea / coffee to guests and don't even show the courtesy to arrange it from outside on our demand also.
My humble request to all visitors, please don't believe on the reviews / photographs and the sweet talks of Sangeeta / Hemant. You will be definitely disappointed.
It's mere loot in the name of Rural feel or organic farms bla bla bla...
We will never recommend anybody about this place.

Hideout is a beautiful place to unwind... proximity to Mumbai being its plus point. Peaceful and blissful, this place is filled with the warmth of the host family.
It is very tranquil, serene and quiet...allowing you to experience 'Silence'. There is a beautiful water body near by where the water falls over a small dike; apart from getting wet, the sound of water fall and flowing stream provides perfect music for meditation. It gives you opportunity to relax in the lap of Mother Nature...an unique experience not to be missed out.
In short, it is a perfect destination for those who love Nature. The hosts, Hemant and Sangeeta and family have worked very hard to bring Hideout into being. Even the staff is non intrusive, and helpful. They offer you the luxury of simple, quiet and restful holiday with healthful meals. Hemant & Sangeeta"s Hideout makes you experience homely hospitality!!

Drive: It was good with precise guidelines from the host. The eastern express highway route is more scenic is what we hear.

Stay: The cottages are VERY basic with power cuts through most of the day, there is no TV and AC. Its too dark inside the rooms for us to enjoy the stay. Its not a resort, so if your idea is to enjoy the room, this is not the place.

Food: This was the worst part. It was organic all right, but it was not tasty at all as what we had read in the reviews, was close to being boiled with bare minimum salt. The spread is very limited. We are not comfortable with pet dogs and cats in the kitchen and dining area.

Activities: The place is not ideal for couples who want to spend alone time but for those who like to make conversations with fellow visitors when you are around. You will be completely dependent on the host and the fellow visitors for your visit to nearby waterfalls and damns. The natural beauty is good but not exotic.

Farms: We did not find much of a farm, there was basic plantations in place as such and worth only if you like to educate yourself about plants and types etc. Nothing too exotic there either.

Go here only if you are not too interested in enjoying food on your vacation, you are interested in striking conversations and like group activities and very very raw beauty of nature.

After reading the rave reviews, we were very excited to take a break from the city. We were alas very disappointed.

-so many bugs !! they gave us a net to cover the bed, but then the air wouldn't come through it too much. so you either sweat or deal with the bugs
-food pretty much always ran out if you didn't make it by 1.30pm ..so we ate leftovers or had to trouble them to make some more which we felt terrible about.
-we washed our own dishes which honestly they didn't ask us to do per say. But we didnt want to be rude or inconsiderate as everyone else was washing theirs. So we ended up washing our dishes. I mean.. its a holiday.. we do it at home all the time.. this was supposed to be a break for us!

after this 'holiday' we really just wanted to get back home :/ it was not for us I guess.
