We booked 2 nights at this hotel in Sept 2014. It was appalling. Dirty, terribly dated. The bed had no sheets and was covered in dog hairs. The outside area was full of cigarette stubs and dog faeces. We immediately came home. Beware Fronoleu Hotel and beware KGB deals who have completely ignored all attempts to reimburse us for this...

First impression unkempt , met by a scurfy lady who we thought was the cleaner but turned out to be the owner.showed us up to a room still in the sixties !!! a bed which was a poor relation to a four poster covered with lace.Luckily the room was clean.went down to dinner 8 pm our order was taken at...

We have just returned from a two night stay and really enjoyed the stay. The meals are absolutely beautiful and staff very friendly. Yes the hotel is in need of an update but bedrooms and ensuite clean and comfortable and you get what you pay for. A really wonderful setting and enjoyed our stay very much.

I have no problem with dated decor, which this place has, but there is no excuse for not clean. We ate the first night, too much food, more does not mean better. Some people ate the 2nd night when we went out and they said that the food was infinately better than the previous night. But having said all that...

This hotel can't be faulted for value and quality of food. Located close to Snowdonia, about a mile uphill from Dolgellau, a very peaceful location with lovely views. We visited in June on a KGB deal and were happy to book a second stay last week as we enjoyed it so much - mainly because of the tasty food and...

The hotel needs a good refurbishing, but the staff is great. The best thing is the food. If the chef and her food have not got a 5 star Michelin rating then it is way overdue. If I lived in the area, it would be a once a week dinner there.

I've never left a review before but feel inspired by a fantastic weekend in breathtaking Snowdonia. Yes the hotel could do with upgrading but that would only make the amazing value uneconomic. The staff are the most accommodating I've ever had the pleasure to meet. The food is delicious and portions enormous! I'm returning. I'm bringing more of my family...

Friendly warm greeting, staff could not be more helpful. The food standard is excellent and the portions very generous. Yes the hotel is a little dated, but what do you expect for the low prices. The bed was comfortable and the bed linen and towels fresh. Keep up the good work!!
