Driving up to the B&B we were already looking forward to seeing the inside. Situated in quiet Belgium country side around Ypres De Heksescheure both inside and out exudes peace and quiet in a countryside once ravaged by war. Upon entry we were greeted by our extremely friendly and helpful host (Jan) and shown to our rooms, which left nothing...

Second visit here. Beds supremely comfortable, good breakfast, extras available on site. The owner is very hospitable and helpful. Location ideal for visiting Ieper and many WW1 sites. Westvleteren not too far and worth visiting the St. Sixtus site for lunch plus beer.

A very charming owner, friendly and eager to help and direct you, although not too pushy (luckily). A very good breakfast, and quiet surroundings .... ideal for walking and biking in the area. There is a bar available at very reasonable prices. One shortfall: the shower. There is only a rain shower, so your hair gets wet overtime you kA...

Finding a suitable B&B in the Ypres area isn't as easy as you might think. Most are in the city and parking can be a problem. De Heksescheure is a bit out of town but in a lovely quiet rural setting with plenty of parking facilities. The house is beautiful and modern and spotlessly clean. Jan and Kathleen are great...

What an amazing way to finish a three week tour of Europe. The B&B Heksescheure is fabulous. The owner and his family are so friendly and helpful, it is a beautiful setting, it is clean and tidy and every single detail is catered for. An ideal location for visiting the World War One history in that area. There are lovely...

Stayed at this B & B operated by Jan en Kathleen on June 7 and 8, 2014. We arrived late in the afternoon after a long flight and drive from CDG. We were greeted by Kathleen and offered a good cold local beer after the traveling. They have a lovely, peaceful place in the country, within 1 KM of Beselare...

We found this B&B through an internet booking site. We travelled with our sons of 19 & 17 so the pool table was a real bonus as was the free Wi-Fi. The owners made us feel welcome and offered advice on what to do locally and recommended an excellent restaurant for dinner. The property is a converted barn in countryside...
